this is not true. Take a guy like Margarito who throws even more punches than Pacquiao and compare his hit / don't get hit ratio. Fact is that when you throw more punches, you are also more at risk of getting hit, which has a negative effect on the ratio.

All variables are equal when the fighters step into the ring. The goal it to hit your opponent as much as possible and get hit as little as possible in return. If you think it's because Pac throws more punches than Mayweather, then that is one of the reasons Pac is better than Mayweather.

Keep in mind that when Pac and Floyd start a fight, both have thrown 0 punches. What happens after is to the full credit of the fighter. There's nothing unfair here.

The fact that Mosley only threw 80 power punches against Pac shows how much Pac dominated him mentally.

No, Floyd relies on his skill set being better than your gameplan. Hence, he never goes into a fight with a specific way to beat an opponent. He adjusts to what you do. Thats what makes him great (imo)...Trainers devise attacks and plans to beat him; all he does is fight his fight...The opponents become mentally tired because they have no plan B. They spent 3 months training to figh Floyd one way...when it doesn't work, there is nothing left to do...but lose

Fact is that Floyd has benefited more from opponents who get tired than Pacquiao has. Think Oscar, Hatton, Mosley, etc. Pacquiao dominated those guys from the getgo. Floyd not so.

Whether they become mentally tired for whatever reason you believe or whether their stamina is not up to par, at the end of the day you said it yourself, they get tired. Pac doesn't need them to get tired.

Margarito is also a terrible example because his style includes taking a hit in order for him to hit you. He has no skill and has only gotten this far due to his granite chin. A boxers psyche is shot when they hit him with clean shot after shot and he continues to walk forward.

Manny is a great offensive "Fighter" but Floyd is a great defensive "Boxer" with great counter punching ability...Manny throws multiple pucnhes in bunches without giving his opponents to throw back. Floyd makes you bring the fight to him; and lives off of counters and lead rights..Look at each fighters face after a match. Floyd never has a scratch on himwhile Manny is bruised up after every single fight. The goal is to hit and not get hit..and Mayweather is by far the least hit boxer in recent history...

being the least hit boxer is only one part of the equation.

hit AND not get hit has two parts. Going by compubox, Pacquiao is clearly superior than Mayweather when it comes to the entire equation of hitting and not getting hit.

Whether it's because he throws more punches or not is not the issue. Like I said when the fight starts, both fighters have thrown 0 punches.

Like I said I doubt there is any fighter in the entire sport who in his last 5 fights has a better hit / don't get hit ratio than Pacquiao.

Would be interesting to compare to Wlad, Vitali, Donaire, Martinez, and Ward.

Floyd is not an offense first fighter, so he wouldn't dominate them from the beginning. You can't overwhelm a fighter by sitting back and countering his punches early...the overwhelming comes later on when the seed of doubt is placed in the opponents heads..do i risk throwing a punch and eating a counter? Floyd knows when to step on the gas though...he has proven that many times...

We will agree to disagree..because no way can i compare a hit ratio for two fighters when one fighter throws 500-600 more pucnhes on avg per fight. The numbers will always end in Mannys favor...

To have a fighter throw 583 punches; yet only land 69 (12%) is amazing to me..thats making your opponent miss, while you throw 100 punches less; yet still land 220 more punches than said opponent...Thats amazing to me

I would love to see him against Martinez as well. Martinez may very well beat his ass too. Martinez has a better chance than Manny who only has a punchers chance in my opinion. If he decides not fight then I don't care. Neither guy is bigger than the entire sport.

i love the notion that boxers just get tired against floyd.....he doesnt nullify opponents weapons or make them gun shy or anything like that....its just that they tire out....people still run around here and say that mosley didnt press after he hit floyd and that "manny would pounce on him"....shane tried you dummies....floyd tied him up beautifully....textbook...which is more amazing considering he rarely is put in a position like that.....and after he tied him up...he quickly recovered and proceeded to dominate

"zab stopped doing what was working...oscar stopped jabbing....blah blah...shane stopped throwing"......no pattern....just guys getting tired....floyd didnt do anything

the ring intelligence is the difference in this fight. Pac doesnt fight fighters who like to box for a reason. mayweather will school him badly

to me, having the best ratio of punches landed to punches received is what is more amazing. That's what the sweet science is all about... hitting and not getting hit.

Like I said before, if I fight someone and land 15 out of 30 punches in a round, but he lands 30 out of 90 on me, I think he won the round even if I had a higher connect %. But like you said we can agree to disagree
