Two full continents and a string of islands are considered "America". Not sure how the USA became the only country that counts somehow?:? And I don't know of much real estate over here that still falls under colonial rule. Maybe a small island or two?
P2K has us brainwashed. Plus AA's fight with Ayala wasn't very compelling. He can't clam up for 2:30 a round over here.
Miranda vs. Porras and Banks also wasn't all that good (beside the KO) same as AA's - you can't deny the parallels between both fighters in there last fights...
I've posted before that AA says he knows he has to open up his style more over here if he expects to win. This is the open question.
There are 2 key-factors that will decide the outcome of this fight - I will now give you the first and the second by mid-week: 1. FOOTWORK: You just have to watch the first fight to see why AA couldn't take out Miranda - he's a bit shorter than Edison and the Panther has a freakish arm-length so AA couldn't really deliver a clean, full-leverage punch as Miranda used his phyiscal advantages and got outta distance. AA needs to look back at the Ikeke fight (though, Ikeke wasn't a guy which power you should have been afraid of) and close to distance, using some bobbing and weaving. On the other hand, Miranda recently abandoned this kinda defensive style, just trying to immitate James Toney and pot-shot his opponent with the right hand. The one of them who remembers to use his feet will hve a big advantage in here...to be continued...
Interesting. P2K tells us Mirnada is actually a very smart fellow and has been working hard on his boxing skills.
US fight fans! Don't forget to tune in and (re)watch the VERY dramatic bloodfest, the first Abraham-Miranda fight, first time with English commentary! Also, if you can, you should make a scorecard and score the rounds based on the typical and objective analisys. Judge the referee's work, the time-out situation, the penalties, which one do you find correct, which one do you feel incorrect. Judge the fighters, their abilities, their performance, their heart.
