I'm quite surprised that Team Sauerland agreed on the fight to be held at 166 which could be too much for Abraham. In between 160 and 168, 164 is the middle and Miranda has just moved up to SMW so he should make 164 easily. On the other hand, fighting a bigger and stronger Miranda could be a good learning experience for Abraham before a Kelly Pavlik fight. If he's gonna have trouble taking Miranda's punch, he won't take Pavlik's too well. But if he can take the SMW Miranda's punch, he'll take Pavlik's as well.
Miranda said he would not take the fight under 166lbs. He says it will be hard enough for him to make this weight and stay healthy. Anything under that, and smartly so, he said it would not be worth it for him to take the risk in not being 100%. Too bad he didnt have this intelligence before the Pavlik fight. He should have moved up after the first Abraham I.
Since they put plates in Abraham's jaw, his head may come off when he gets hit with one of those hooks. Rock em Sock em Robot. :****off
I sure am happy that this fight is happening again! As long as Miranda doesn't have problems making 166, I think he will win this fight by UD or late stoppage. If Miranda does have problems making weight, then I will go with Abraham by UD.
Yeah...very good fight; rematch was in order. Best fight out there, third only to Bika v. Miranda and Andrade v. Miranda.
abraham is just far more talented. he will whip the already exposed miranda. abraham has improved. miranda has declined.
How has Abraham improved? Has hasnt been in a decent fight since he faced Miranda. And he hasnt looked too good in what should have been easy fights! Yea, ended them with some highlite reel KO's, but it was not walk in the park up until then!
:good Good lookin out Pantera, don't know if you remember but it looks like I read your "signs" correctly when I was trying to drag it out of you yesterday. I said, after you told me "well the poll is getting closer", that I had taken notice that in an earlier post you said "I hope it's AA". I understood you couldn't tell me until Press release, but I did get it off your clues huh? Miranda is gonna THFO of him this time.:yep :bbb
Had Elvin "I got owned twice by David Banks" Ayala just been able to hold on for 28 more seconds, it would have been hillarious.:deal
Yea... You were too sneaky for me!! I had to keep quiet after that. There was no way to weasle my way out of your question. I knew the 'offical' annoucenemnt was coming early today though, so I figured not many others would pick up on that. :good
Some AA supporters say the only reason his jaw was broken was because he got caught at the wrong time, his mouth was open. I've read some 'stuff' on the theory of knockouts and, the theory anyhow, is that the brain gets sloshed around in the cerebral fluid. So, a straight punch may break your jaw, but one coming from the side is more likely to knock you out. Think more violent head movement. I haven't yet seen the punch that broke his jaw. Now, if it came in sideways, and AA was able to keep his head in place with neck muscles while his jaw gave way, then maybe it is fair to say he has a granite chin.
Well, maybe Miranda can tell Kelly how hard AA punches too. I remember Kelly comparing Miranda's punches to a mule!
