With the recent Abraham - Dirrell match just ending in contraversy, it had me thinking.
When the fight ended Dirrell was well ahead, though Arthur was upping the pressure and looking for the KO. We found Arthur had the power to score that KO, but didnt do it when Ward was standing so got DQ.
There was a real threat of Arthur getting a KO still if the fight went on, but he could also have been outboxed or stopped himself. Awful way for a fight to end never knowing for sure.
Just imagine if some these fights had of ended one round earlier for some reason like a DQ and see how winning fighters would have become losers
    Froch - Taylor
    Chavez - M Taylor
    Pavlik - Taylor 1
    Tyson - Botha
    Leonard - Hearns 1
    Thompson - Haye
    Lewis - V Klitschko
    Hamed - Kelly

Would you have predicted if these fights had of finished one round earlier how the results would have been. Alot of good fighters wouldnt have had that win in their column now.

How do you think Dirrell - Abraham would have finished if the DQ hadnt have happend?

I think Dirrell would have boxed to victory, but would have said the same with at least 3 of the ones mentioned above. You just never know

Abraham wasn't winning and upping the pressure doesn't mean **** if it doesn't land.

I think that Dirrell was getting KOed. He was falling apart. It was just a matter of time.

Can never say for sure but Abraham was landing a lot more in the later rounds and he certainly denied himself what I think would have been a real chance of a round 11/12 ko. I don't think Dirrell was up to the test of Abrahams power, and I think he did fake a ko (though the DQ would likely have stood regardless of whether Dirrell was KO'd).

    Frustrating...

we already know you have the boxing logic of a 4 year old and the objectivity of Abraham's mother. Do pray tell, what rounds you gave Abraham in order to get a 6-4 score card?

On what basis do you think Dirrell "faked" a KO? You think he was deliberately blinkijg his eyes and twitching his legs for effect? He was thinking "I know, I'll twitch my legs very rapidly and blink my eyes, it will be very compelling!"

You're kidding right? In a split second in front of hometown fans a man decides not only to fake being knocked out, but to add a little extra artistic flourish by twithcing his legs. You're honest-to-God not kidding me?

he had a 6-4 score card, is he German or Armenian? I gave Abraham 2 rounds and one was of those could have gone either way. Dirrell Schooled his ass, he should have 4 points in this tourny as we all know he beat Froch as well.

I gave AA 3,5, 10. Dirrell with an extra point from the KD, so it was 8-3. AA KD should've counted. Need to see the replay on Dirrell's 2nd. Depending on that it should have been 8-4 or 8-3.

If AA hadn't thrown the 1st two rounds, it could have been 7-4 or 7-5 in which case he wouldn't have had to get desperate (which I think led to the late blow). I hope this discourages the Clottey/AA style.

You should probably watch round 5 again. Clear Dirrell round.

there was a delayed reaction during which he looked up at the referee and then went down. I'm not saying he definitely faked a KO, just pointing out thats it's a possibility.

The fight with Froch was a close could have gone either way fight.
Both Boxing News and The Ring magazine had Froch a close winner
