Dumb****: Dirrell did the test according to Gary Shaw, and it was necessary to get him to the hospital ASAP.

Just accept that Abraham lost already.

You're the one accusing him of not taking it. Check the numerous other threads for the Shaw quote.

You sound as classless and delusional as your fallen hero.

It is commission required and if not followed he will be DQ's also. No mystery to this dumb ****. He knew going in he would be tested.

Boo is should be gaining some cred points around here. He said if Luajan Simon could split AA's guard then Kelly should be able to. Dirrell was able to split his guard repeatedly.

I'm still waiting for him to turn up. He's been attacking AA so fiercely, he better come up with something amusing now he's been proven right.

he did wins rounds 3, 8 and 10, correct.

Andre won all the others. That's 7 to 3. He also was outlanded AA by 5 to 1 and AA was bleeding profusely and being hit repeatedly in the belly and head.

AA boxed like the robot he is. he's been a sitting duck for a slick fighter with good footwork for years but he's never fought any. this was by far his most difficult opponent of his career and he got schooled post to post.

AA fans now have two faulty ass excuses to stand on:

uh well aa woulda got a KO!!!

    and

Dirrell was faking it, he didn't really get hurt!!!

****ing idiocy. Putting all your stock into a hypothetical possible knockout and rationalizing a blatant foul. Good job.

Let's not bash a country based on a few people. Either Way AT THE MOST you could give AA 3 rounds. For most of the fight he was outboxed, outclassed and constantly hit wen Dirrell lead with the right jab and was giving AA those left straights and hooks. AA got knocked down after landing a big blow to Dirrell and was cut. People keep talking about "shoulda, woulda coulda" and how AA would have knocked him out but you can blame AA himself for stopping the fight.

He predicted Abraham to win by knock out, this must be a whole new meaning of 'proven right'.

It's a shame that Team Sauerland are acting this way

Sauerland To File Protest: "Abraham Would Have KO'd Dirrell"

DETROIT (March 28, 2010) — Wilfried Sauerland has no doubts that Super Six World Boxing Classic tournament point leader King Arthur Abraham would have knocked Andre Dirrell out had it not been for his controversial disqualification in the 11th round. “After a slow start, Arthur was finally landing his power punches,” Sauerland said. “He clearly knocked Dirrell down in the tenth and was following it up in the 11th. There is no way Dirrell would have seen the end of the 12th round..”

After reviewing the tape, Sauerland stated that a clearly exhausted Dirrell seized his chance to sneak out of the fight when the chance presented itself, especially with Abraham upping pressure before the controversial ending. “The TV pictures indicate that Dirrell was down, but there is no way Arthur could have realized that in the heat of the moment. He was just trying to keep up the attack. However, Dirrell is a very good actor. We are glad that his check-up at the hospital turned out just fine but frankly we did not expect any other outcome since he was just acting. He deserves an Oscar for his performance.”

The 26-year-old American was taken to hospital after the fight. “I wish him all the best and hope he is fine,” Abraham said. “I thought I could still punch because the referee did not stop us. In the heat of the moment I was not watching his feet but only his head. As a professional boxer, you always try and make pressure.”

Abraham said it was a very competitive fight. “I am a slow starter,” he added. “That is how I fight. But I picked up in the later rounds and connected.” Abraham was knocked down for the first time his career in the fourth but returned the favour in the tenth when he floored Dirrell, although no knock-down was credited.

Team Sauerland will officially protested the verdict.

The only concerns I would have in this fight is the one punch AA has and he possesses fast hands. That said, AA does not fight well going backwards and I think Kelly could push him around.

Or, if he fought from the outside, Kelly would have a tremendous reach advantage.

I also think Kelly would beat Abraham but it would be a hell of a fight and I think kelly would punish him to the body.
