Yes, this is the real issue, not the actual venue. If Sauerland is involved in the promotion Froch will have to kill AA to win. Sauerland is as bent as a nine pound note

Exactly. So, if the argument is 'hold in Denmark because the fans will still be able to go' like OP says that doesn't change.

Personally I think that if the fight was in Denmark, all you would get is a few hundred Brits and a few hundred Germans and a scattering of Danes and be lucky to hit 1000 crowd. But if that's what you want, why not ban fans and hold all fights behind closed doors in empty venues?

I don´t see that being an issure. If he can pack 30-40.000 in Germany i reckon it would be no problem to find 4-5.000 germans willing to take the drive up.

"irony on"-looking at the past-germans have been eager to travel-"irony off :hey

It would still provide a logistically affordable neutral venue, though without taking into considerence how You would find yourself a pint of Strongbow or Carling :hey

I think the brits will go, but Germans tend to stay in their own nest. On the other hand when they are motivated they can move like a blitz,
like when they need a place to launch attacks against UK or in the summer when they flock to beaches and camping spots in Denmark.

Are you taking the ****, the taxi from Billund to Herning was more expensive than the flight, that combined with paying more than £5 a pint affordable would not be my word of choice.

5£ a pint-really :patsch Well that´s due to our crazy taxes. But not uncommon though.

Sorry to hear about the taxi-but cheaper transport really is possible.
On the other hand the fight could take place in a venue in Copenhagen too :happy

I believe that.... but why take a taxi that far?

I would only take a take that far in countries like Indonesia, Thailand etc.

If I really think about it.. I think that is a bit unfair.

So far the - by far - most unfair and korrupt issue in the tourney is that Ward has all his fights at home in Oakland with a ref from Oakland.

    By far.

Its not fair that either of these fighters will only fight in their hometown once while Ward will get the chance to fight all 3 of his 1st round fights in his hometown.
