Over there at Boxing to the MAX they must really pay tribute to the Armenian banger.

First when I watch a recent episode of TNR Doug Fisher already favoured him over Kelly Pavlik with Kim slightly agreeing.

Then I read Mulcahey's review on 2007 and he said that Arthur Abraham is the "best all around middleweight out there... including Kelly Pavlik".

So it should be time to send him over, testing the waters oversea...

I think the average yank is in for a big shock if/when this happens

When Pavlik and his promoter get the balls that is. Sighting 'business' reasons is the biggest crock of shite, these are the two best middleweights, the fans want to see them fight

King Arthur is better in most respects. He was lazy as feck against Elcock, but when he puts those punches together Pavlik is going to be in a heap on the canvas

I really hope he gets the winner of Taylor/Pavlik..That is the only logical step for the winner of that rematch...I dont want to hear nothing about no John Duddy:nono

You say that, but when asked whether Pavlik would fight King Arthur, Arum told the boxing world that it didn't make 'business sense'

Fair enough, they are gold digging. Who wouldn't want to fight an average fighter like John Duddy $$$$$$$

But don't come telling us that Pavlik is looking to fight the absolute best. He isn't

Come on, give Pavlik a break. He fought a tough guy in Zertuche (comparable to Gevor), fought Miranda in a title eliminator (Miranda looked very drained but was still the guy who broke Abraham's jaw and gave him a run for his title) and then beat (un)disputed middleweight champ Jermain Taylor - accomplished everything in 2008!

And now he goes with the contract and gives Taylor a rematch - hopefully, he wins. I would have no problem to allow him a homecoming fight vs. Duddy.

Abraham needs exposure in the US - and his next fight in early 2008 MUST be aired by HBO if he really wants it.

Then Abraham should fight his mandatory (either Zuniga or Oral -> Zuniga should easily beat Oral) on the under card of Pavlik - Duddy which would set up a middlweight showdown at the end of 2008 which would be boh worth money and legacy-wise.

    POINT

What's your point? All I said was that Pavlik is not looking to fight the best, the best is Arthur, everybody knows it, and we are looking at him fighting Duddy after he knocks out that fraud again

Who said Arthur won't fight Sturm? All I know is Arum has come out and flat out refused the possibility of a fight with Arthur, for some lame ass reason

Abraham deserves respect. He's a great puncher with toughness and heart. He would be a legitimate threat in any era.

I'd favor Pavlik over him, either by UD or late TKO, but it's a dangerous fight. Pavlik might get knocked out if he isn't careful.

Maybe Pavlik didn't, but his promoter certainly did. Obviously doesn't share your confidence...

With good reason I suspect, after he got decked by Jermain Taylor, of all people. Nearly getting knocked the **** out, by Jermain ****ing Taylor. No way he survives Abraham's punches

Abraham and Pavlik will fight if they both keep winning. Pav. has to fight Taylor next, so he's not ducking anyone. Arum is just negotiating/marketing with gamesmanship. Did Pavlik say he won't fight Abraham? Come on now.

The best scenario is for Abraham to get a high profile fight in the states and look impressive while Pav. vs. Taylor happens. Then they can scrap for the BIG $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ later in 2008.

Abraham vs. Pav. would be one of the best fights of 2008 if it happens.

    How about Winky vs Abraham?

    That will never happen

Nobody in America knows who the **** Abraham is

Everybody in America knows who Winky-Wright is, but nobody gives a **** that he exists

Not an attractive fight from a business sense. Therefore it won't happen, in this day and age

Winky is a whiner...demanding to much money, saying Abraham would do nothing for his legacy and his pocket - instead he demands even more money to get an immediate shot at Pavlik, which he would allege is rightfully his :verysad ...

Abraham could fight Mayorga in the US. That would be entertaining....

Miranda was not robbed against Abraham, he was very lucky not to get disqualified. Abraham easily won the first four rounds, when Miranda was already low - blowing. After he broke his jaw, Miranda got so out of control, he deserved every single of those point deductions.

Pavlik - Abraham would be very exciting. Reach and slight power advantage to Pavlik, chin advantage to Abraham. I think Pavlik wins it because of his unbelievalbe work rate and stamina.
