The difference is Pavlik's defence is even worse, and his chin is not up to much. He got wobbled badly by a man that couldn't even dent Spinks, and was even getting backed up

 

Pavlik vs Abraham is going to be a war...how could anybody with common sense say that Pavlik will just walk through Abraham, the dude has incredible power, literally an iron jaw, and he counters very well, while Pavlik's defence is not the best out there

Abrahams heart is right up there with Alis on this one. He fought through one of the worst conditions a fighter has to overcome in the ring - a severly broken jaw- and still one. Add it up, its simple math, but perhaps, not too simple for you....:deal

Miranda damn near killed him? Give me break,mate! Miranda wasnt able to finish off an severly injured opponent whose jaw had been broken twice and who was losing tons of blood inside the right making it look like a slaughterhouse.It was Abraham who was more likely to score a late ko(watch round 9 of Miranda vs Abraham!) over Miranda than the other way round.
Besides Abraham had easily won the first few rounds of his encounter with Miranda up to the point he broke his jaw.
Truly bad luck for the Armenian that he broke his jaw.Props to him for continuing fighting and defeating Miranda! I bet my house that Miranda wouldnt have been able to go more than 1-2 rounds if he had been the one whose jaw was broken twice!

I dont intend to belittle Pavlik's performance.He desevers respect for his great performance against Miranda.However,he didnt fight with a broken jaw.

Abraham has never been stopped,and he has a proven track record with victories over quite a handful of good names.He can take a punch,and his firepower is surely not one of his weak spots..
Both Taylor and Pavlik have already been floored.The same cant be said about Abraham.
IMO Taylor vs Abraham,Pavlik vs Taylor,and Abraham vs Pavlik could go either way.These three elite fighters are more or less on the same level.

 

I also hope that Oral will lose his upcomming fight with Zuniga! Why? Because I would love to watch a rematch between him and Spada!

Abraham is tough as hell, but I wouldn't give him a good chance to beat Pavlik. He fights in spurts and his stamina is questionable, unlike Pavlik's stamina/punch output which is great. He's also physically the much smaller fighter with the shorter reach. Pavlik is no master boxer, but after looking at some Abraham fights I think Kelly has the better all around skills and better power/accuracy. Abraham is quicker and probably has the better chin, but his only chance in this fight would be to land some solid hard shots on Pavlik's chin, then finish him.. I don't think he is capable of winning a decision. It's a 80/20 fight to me favoring Pavlik.

Pavlik is lucky as hell that he's in such a weak MW division right now and he is young enough to still make 160. His only threat is Abraham, after that he could destroy any other MW and get major hype for it, only to get owned and stopped by the top 168 pounder, Kessler in a very possible future matchup.

I like him,too.I am truly looking forward to watching his rematch with Taylor.However, a victory for Pavlik isnt a sure bet IMO.And neither would be a fight with Abraham.
Apart from Miranda and Taylor Pavlik hasnt faced a single good name whereas Abraham cant boast with a victory over a top 3 fighter like Taylor,but all in all he has faced the much better opposition than Pavlik(with the exception of Taylor of course).
Besides Abraham is a puncher with genuine firepower who can end a fight any time.Abraham would always have a puncher's chance against Pavlik.
I for my part think that their fight could go either way,but tend to say that Pavlik would probably win a point decision whereas Abraham would probably win by ko.Abraham can be outboxed,but his chin and defence is great.Unlike Pavlik he has never been down.I think that Abraham has the upper hand in firepower and in the chin department.However,this is just a gut feeling.Pavlik is an elite fighter,but so is Abraham.
