This is sad. Abraham's idol is Mike Tyson, who was barely taller than him yet was fighting 6'6" monsters. Obviously different styles, but don't blame it on your height - blame it on the fact that you REFUSE to try and counterpunch.

Uli Wegner does not pull his punches. The man tells it like it is. After the Simon fight he said; "Arthur would have NO CHANCE against Kelly Pavlik if he fought like that."

I personally think we need to give AA some credit for not punching Wenger in the mouth! **** like that would **** me off!!

 

Abraham-Martinez would be a hell of a fight. Martinez needs to not get hit the whole 12 rounds though. Alot of drama.

 

If this is his excuse then what would have happened against 6'2 pavlik. He got his mind ****ed vs dirrell. He has faced tall fighters before. His team is just some bum strategist. As soon as he was talking that worthless Aerobics class **** I knew his mind was done. He didn't know what to fix. I knew what I would have fixed and that was head movement. He showed none and that's why froch couldn't miss with that jab all night.

 

This is why I never understood why people thought AA had a chance to win this tourney. He was a small man coming up. I knew his power and style wouldn't be a factor at 168 like it was at 160. People got caught up in the hype of the Taylor KO but ignore several factors going into the fight. Taylor at that point had no confidence and was a shot fighter. Abraham's win over a shot Taylor is vastly overrated.

 

Actually, if you look at the record, the "tall fighters" AA fought before the S6 were guys like Ikeke and Simon. He never faced a tall fighter with real skill before the S6 started.

 

To make things clear: Wegner said that Arthur was a coward between the rounds. He repeated it all the time. And I guess this is why BILD asked him "are you really a coward". I really don´t want to defend BILD but because of Wegner´s statements BILD asked him such stupid questions.

I just read that Wegner threatened Abraham to dismiss him if he really wants to go back to MW. AA had to lose more than 20lb before MW fights.

 

Man Abe is disapointing more and more. You didn't lose because you were smaller, you lost because you can't adjust.

 

No problem. Abraham will just get with his friend Sugar Valuev and his ATG trainer and will clean out 160.
