Abraham is deemed worthy to step up a weight class, why not Haye???

Now Abraham stepped up to SMW, he's immediately ranked 3rd at BoxRec, ahead of Kessler and way ahead of Balzsay, and way ahead of other top contenders, no matter he never fought at SMW before. And he got immediately in this tournament with two SMW belts at stake, and nobody objects Abraham not worthy to participate... And he was "only" IBF Champ...

But when Haye, who was undisputed CW Champ and held 3 belts, stepped up to HW and requested a bout with Klitschko, the bitching started immediately he should box a few bouts with top 10 ranked HWs before getting a title shot? Why?

Abraham is a worthy champion and nobody would complain if he got a immediate title shot at Froch or Kessler at SMW. So why is Haye denied of the same? I don't see the reason, he was not only a champion but even undisputed.

No matter what his chances against either Klitschko are (I still think Wlad would have beat him silly, and Vitali will beat him silly as well) why shouldn't he be worthy of a title shot? How many other Champs of other divisions stepped up a weight class and got immediate title shot without anyone objecting they're not worthy of it?

So let Haye collect his beating, it will be most entertaining to behold :)

Haye is worthy to go up in weight . . . no problem with that . . . but he should shut the **** up and learn how to respect the belt holder because he hasn't accomplished anything yet.

He shouldn't be talking as if he ****i'n owns the division and his NUT SUCKERS should stop talking about him being the best Heavyweight fighter. :deal

AA DID already fight at SMW, against borderline top-10 Miranda, and scored a brutal 4th round ko. Also, the step from 160 to 168 is not as big as the step from CW to HW.

I completely agree. It's little different to Spinks stepping up to face Holmes.

People just treat the heavyweight division differently. They hold it in awe, which the division simply isn't worthy of right now.

Nobody is saying he is "worthy", his trouble making weight was obvious for a pretty long time, watch his fight against simon. It seemed obvious on arthur's part he was staying at middlweight for a super fight with the champion pavlik.
Now as far as his ranking, as a huge supporter, I do agree #3 is quite high, maybe the Ring magazne see something we don't?

Abraham is going to fight hard competition now and he is not claiming yet
he is going to clean up the division and knock out all the bums and journeyman
    which fight over there.

Did you seen also wearing him T-shirt with decapitated Taylors head?

I see the usual idiots are making their usual idiotic comments already, it was to be expected anyway, so what, it would be just a waste of time to answer to such bull****...

@ The others who posted sane & coherent thoughts about the topic:

I agree fully Haye is the biggest loudmouth since Ali, with the tiny difference Ali used to back up his mouth with his fists, which Haye still has to accomplish... His insults and provocations are lower under the beltline then his toes are... But I wasn't speaking of his moral merits, only the boxer merits.

When Abraham can go from MW to SMW then Haye can go from CW to HW too, no matter how big an ******* he might be. Klitschkos will take care of that, just wait and see and enjoy, so let him go - today he stands at the edge of the cliff, tomorrow he will make a great step forward ;-)

And for Abraham himself, you wouldn't think it possible, but I'm a kind of fan both of Abraham and Sturm ;-) And I do see Abraham is strangling himself making MW limit, whilst Sturm has obviously no such problems. So I think Abraham should go to SMW and Sturm should stay at MW - I think Sturm would outbox Bute at SMW by a wide margin but against Kessler or Froch or even Abraham at SMW I just don't see him winning, he still might be technically the best of them, but he's just not big and powerfull enough for the naturally bigger guys at SMW.

But I'd still like to see Abraham vs. Sturm at MW, it would be a classy fight even if I'd be sorry about one of them losing the bout no matter which one might win. Now it will never happen, but Sturm still could fight Pavlik at MW that would be nice :)

And for Abraham, I bet he'll get to semi-finals for sure, and I bet Kessler and Froch will get there too, along with one of the Americans, no idea who it might be, but I don't think it will be Taylor, he was overrated anyway on the sole fact he squeezed out two decisions against Hopkins, after that he lost against each real opponent he faced, lost 3 of the last 4 bouts, won only against the ultimately shot Lacy and got KOd by Froch at last. Abraham will tear his head off and after that the rest of the bunch will pummel whatever he still might have left out of him for good...

And I bet my ass the final will be 100 % European :) Any American dare risk his ass and take the bet?

A lot of dimwits seem to forget, or not know that your record goes with you as you move up in weight. So top fighters getting shots at titles or being ranked highly after just a single fight in their new weight class is not only normal but also justifiable.

Like someone already said, fans just treat the heavyweight division differently because it's such a huge jump up in weight from limited weight divisions, to a completely unlimited weight class. So it's sort of held to a higher standard.
