I just recall Jones and Toney going from MW to HW so from 160 to 200+ it's more then 25 % increase...

Think about a HW doesn't have to make weight at all... So a 220 HW could easily make some diet and spend a few hours in the sauna just before the weigh in and tip the scales just under 200. Chris Byrd campained for long years at HW and then managed to go down even to LHW...

When an overblown MW can go all the way up to HW, so why CW who never fought under CW and even having problems making CW limit shouldn't go up to HW.

Someone here mentioned Chambers could have cleaned up CW division too, so if Chambers could make CW limit why shouldn't Haye be able to compete at HW? He doesn't look that small to me anyway... If he was struggling to make CW then I'd say he weighed about 220 without making weight. Add a few muscles and a little fat and he's 230 easily, that's not significantly less then Klitschkos anymore.

And don't forget you don't have to be THAT big and heavy to compete at HW, just look what Chambers did to Dimitrenko who is as big as Klitschkos are, and for Chambers you just could say he's an overblown CW, still he did beat Dimitrenko silly :)

But the point of comparison was AA who was nothing close to undisputed nor lineal.

On the other side of the coin, I don't think anyone would have a problem with putting Haye in a top-6 HW tournament... except maybe Haye.

Bottom line: champs moving up often get title shots - but they are voluntary. If the higher weight class champ thinks it makes career/financial sense, he'll make the fight. Otherwise, the guy moving up "has to get in line". If you move up and are a dick to a guy that doesn't need to fight you to make a good living, well...

abraham is great at mw but there is a possibility of him not being up to the grade of smw as some boxers do not move up well.
he could seriously lose every fight.i hope not and i hope there are some awesome battles but imo he should of had a bum smw fight first to test himself at smw.

But Haye wasn't campaigning to fight Dimitrenko, who is so unable to use his height and reach to his advantage. He called out the Klits and both of them are masterful at using their physical attributes. Even a religious Klit hater like Teddy Atlas said that Wladimir controls range very well.

Why should he stop talking? He's creating hype and getting people interested.

The bigger HYPE he makes . . . the harder the impact it's gonna be . . . if he loses. :yep
