Abraham on Pavlik's loss

    It's both combined, the "courage check" is nothing but a way to try and gain Pavlik's attention to sign for this fight. All he said was something like this "Fight me, if you dare!", doesn't sound like the courage check the majority of Pavlik fans are going all emotional about. Just a man calling him out and wanting his shot, he has the right to speak out loud and be heard already.

    Last I remember it was Pavlik and his team running after Calzaghe calling him stuff like "*****", "slapper", "runner", "chicken" and all sorts of stuff because he didn't fight them. That of course will mean nothing, but Abraham saying something as EXTREMELY soft as "I hope he has the courage to sign the fight" is irrational, huh?

    Cheating tactics? Alright even if I were to go with that, the decision was stil lHIGHLY HIGHLY questionable.

    If you want to argue who won that's cool but I don't think you can say that the fight didn't have questionable scorecards.

    AA will outbox PAv at first, and then lay him in a casket for a 10 count. I don't see this as a competitive fight anymore. What did Steward say...Pavlike is moving around all gangley and all lol...

    I don't remember my scorecard but it definitely wasn't close with the judges, can't remember how the judges scored it too to be honest. All I remember is that I had the fight for Abraham.

    Even with the deductions I had it for Miranda..although I will most certainly admit that from time to time I score it differently. A very fun fight to say the least.

    The first fight with Miranda was a robbery. It should've been stopped when the doctor said to stop it and I frankly don't see how you could give Abraham any rounds after that. The guy lost like 20% of his blood. He could've died.

    I honestly don't know much about Abraham. The verdict is still out there for me. The only fights I've seen are the ones against Miranda. From those all I can tell is that he has power and covers up well, but he's not lightning fast, isn't overly agressive but fights in spurts instead, and has less than impressive footwork and head movement.

    Nerve recking, totally. Had me on my damn toes during the fight as I'm a fan of Abraham, hate to remember watching it live. :lol:

    A rematch doesn't erase the first fight, it just brings closure to the series.

    Jeff Fenech lost the rematch to Azumah Nelson...but it doesn't erase the very controversial draw. Just means on the 2nd night, Nelson handled his business.

    If you're trying to say I'm saying Miranda is better than Abraham I'm not because I had Arthur beating Miranda in the rematch in the 10th (he did it in half) but let's not act like the first fight wasnt very close.

    You see, my point is that Nelson and Abraham made you forget about the controversey in their first fights by kayoing their opponents in the rematch, and that's all that counts. Fans thought Floyd lost to Castillo, and then floyd went out and won the rematch convincingly. That's all we care about.

    Which means they were the better fights overall obviously.

    It doesn't mean that the first fight is less meaningful. It just means that at the end of the day the better fighter got did what he had to do to correct his mistakes.

    Sorry, but this is a dubious description of the first fight. He fought on and showed a lot of courage. His title was at stake and he had to fight on. the rematch solved everything.
