Arum won't even pay 2 for Abraham to come to the US; how serious would you say he is about making the fight?

If you're going to post on a boxing forum, you should, I dunno, actually follow boxing. Pavlik has been calling out AA for a while now and to say AA isn't a big puncher is just ******ed.

Dude, I'm one of the biggest Pavlik fans here, but I think it's absolutely wrong to say AA can't punch. He is clearly one of the P4P guys in terms of one punch power, and Kelly is one of the best "grind you down" fighters in the game, which is whwy this is such an intriguing fight on paper.

Arum is scarred. Pavlik got exposed, Cotto lost and Margarito is banned. His biggest star beside PacMan are in trouble.

I don't think Germany stands out as a biased place anymore, with Martinez getting a draw despite knocking out Cintron and outclassing him, and John getting a draw despite clearly beating Juarez in the US. 'Backyard' and 'hometown' is no excuse, especially with KP-AA, as Abraham has already traveled to the opponent's backyard to show he can do it anywhere. Whoever offers the bigger purse should stage the fight, it's that simple. But Abraham doesn't give a **** where the fight would be, as he said the ring is the same anywhere in the world. Now that's what I call professionalism.

I think we will be seeing more of Alexxeev soon ;)

"sooner germans will be facing women to get a titleshot" - and you really want to seriously discuss boxing in this forum? ....

This is the middleweight fight that has to happen, and I agree that Arum has been acting very *****-like with his Pavlik matchmaking of late, but as much as I hate to say it, I'm not so sure I'd have Kelly fight Arthur in Germany.

I know a bunch of people are saying it's not a biased place to travel to while fighting the hometown guy, and I'm sure for the most part that's true, but anyone else remember that **** Ohner pulled last year? Surely people remember how Andrade got raped out of a chance to KO Bute while fighting in his hometown, right? Or Hatton uncle calling a stop to the fight so he could gather himself after getting blasted by Lazcano? It's not just any one place, you go fight the hometown guy in a promotion solely focused on the hometown guy, murals of that guy plastered all over the walls (ie, Klitschko fights) you have to know that the promotion is built on making sure the hometown kid gets the win. Even in America. Abraham's people would have to feel a little uneasy about fighting Kelly in Ohio, I'm sure. Why else do you think they want to fight in Germany? It's a ****ed up situation, wish they could fight somewhere neutral.
