I still hope AA and Pavlik fight at MW.

It's not like AA hasn't fought that way before. He can be an awfully lazy fighter. He tends to finish off guys out of nowhere though, so he can be exciting.. but he takes large parts of rounds off just by doing nothing.

AA said that today's performance was not good, but - nevertheless - Simon also took good punches and therefore he respects him. He said also that he just wants Pavlik and moves up to SMW afterwards.

BTW: The German commentator said that it is hard for Simon to get fights in the US. Does anybody know why?

I think everybody agrees that Simon won 2 more rounds...the scoring was crap as always (but that's not something that only happens in Germany!)

AA and Pavlik will never fight at 160. It's too dangerous a fight for Pavlik's career, and Abraham can't make the weight anymore. At best, they might meet at 168.

I respectfully disagree, sir. It was Simon making the Champ miss, however the shots the champ did land were peaches, but Simon hit him repeatedly to the body (esp. early on), and also caught AA several times on the way out.

Can't say, and most Americans I believe would agree had never really even heard of L. Simon before. Maybe he tears up "top" fighters when they invite him to spar? He did quite well considering that was A. Abraham he was in there with. What sucks for Simon, is that was not shown on US TV, where he could have gotten some respect and exposure from that performance.

Mad respect to the promotions for putting this fight on legal stream for world wide fans to enjoy!! That's how you treat people right there. And once again, that was a very impressive and sportsmanlike crowd. Good packed house with good boxing fans.
