Can he not sell it to Kessler as a quicker way to get a Ward rematch?

While i agree that Abraham can't compete against the elite @168, i don't think that he looked like a deer in the headlights like you are describing..
He came to win against Ward and it can be argued that he won the first two rounds, but he found himself getting outboxed by a faster, more skilled and better condtioned boxer.. Against Froch he was simply up against a bigger and more powerful boxer who brought a good gameplan to the fight.

I don't see it. Magee has the WBA world bogus interim Mickey Mouse belt which comes in at about no. 3 in the WBA's pecking order of world championships. He'd still be behind Balszay/Sartison and going that way may force a Kessler-Sartison II before Ward and nobody wants to see that.

The WBO belt will bring in more options including unifications with Ward and/or Bute or perhaps a possible return with Froch.

Btw i think that Abraham deserves props for completing the tournament and not bitching out.

The WBO belt could also bring in a Degale (Int Cont. "belt" holder) fight since Degale-Sanavia would be on the same bill as Stieglitz vs Kessler or Abraham. At this point making Abraham-Degale makes more sense than Kessler-Degale.

I don't think the pecking order matters much. Show them the money and they make stuff happen. Sturm's opponents, as well as never seeing Golovkin-N'Jikam actually being enforced by the WBA... and N'Jikam is still Interim champ after bitching out of it twice.

Abraham vs DeGale is a really intresting fight.

Abraham needs to look at himself in the mirror, and ask if with more dedication; could he make 160lbs, because SMW is not a good fit for him.

On the other hand Degale is a very good fit for Abraham's style. :D

I don't think that was a smart move in saving his career. I mean any other top15 SMW could fill up that place and weight about the same as an Abraham win at SMW for the remaining participants. He should've pulled out. But he had confidence he can pull a win in his next fight and get his career back on track. He always kept that hope. He fooled himself. That trainer of him is the main reason he was outclassed by the top SMW. He was never prepared to start with.

I think thats a resounding no.
Now that the S6 has finished all Wards fanboys try and pretend Ward has just had a tough road on the S6 and should avoid Bute for a while, which is complete rubbish as Ward fought unwell Kessler at home, A Green  at home, Bika who Bute had beaten at home, Abraham coming off 2 S6 losses at home , then Froch in his home country.
Froch fights every original member of the S6 one after the other and G Johnson, fights away 5 out of those 6 times and Wards fanboys think its not a problem for Ward to fight Bute.
So I think we can safely say Ward doesnt have a passport to leave America. Still no probs because Bute said he was happy to go to Joakland . EEERRRR Ward needs a rest after the S6 :patsch

Yeah I agree with that. With so many dropping out I felt Abraham may say he is leaving to go back to MW or something similar, but instead he did obligate the S6
