I think Pavlik once said he would beat on Winky's arms as a stratagy against the guard. I might be wrong on that. Why throw where they can be picked off with the gloves?

It might work with Winky-Wright. He's a former junior middle, a much smaller guy that hasn't faced these kinds of punchers. Pavlik's puncheswould definitely hurt his arms, and eventually break through

I don't know about Abraham though. He didn't feel a thing when Miranda was teeing off.

i think the best guy to answer this question is Miranda, because i havent been punched by neither one, and honestly, i dont want 2. But, i will say that it seemed as though Abraham was carrying a more powerful punch than the ones Pavlik used to stop Miranda.

I just postulated in another thread that this might be the time to see if Kelly and Jack can come up with a 'novel for them' game plan. Score points from the outside and make AA come to him. Wouldn't be very fan friendly perhaps with AA's work rate, but don't buy into his game plan. I don't see that happening though.

Pavlik tends to shorter more compact punches. Probably since he is at a speed disadvantage he needs to recover into a defensive postition quicker.

Punch for Punch, I have thought Abraham was the hardest puncher since I first saw him. But Pavlik is one of those dudes who is naturally heavy handed, and his jabs even knock heads...

    Pavlik is better accumulation.

Abraham rocks punch for punch though... (Gotta love the Ghevor KO..dudes head whipped in a full circle).

Pavlik's power is accumilative, he wears people down and stops them. Abraham can spark people with a single punch.

Kind of 'comptition' based too. Kelly has had some one one blow knockouts against lesser opponents. He put a worse beat down on their common opponent. If their is an advantage to one style vs another Kelly seems to deliver more over all damage becasue the opponent is still in front of him.

Exactly, is this not evident by way of video and now a common opponent stopped?

No Abraham hit hard but he is not the hardest puncher there. Miranda is till a harder puncher than him, Pavlik too, and even Fulgencio zuniga hits harder, he didn't ko a fighter in shannan Taylor who is a welter and have been koed a few times, by koing miranda who dosen't posses a great chin do no make him the best.
