Bro, I used to say the same thing, but with this guy its hard to measure his skill because he so consistant. I give him much credit for executing his game plan ... he does it every fight ... he does leave himself wide open at times but he's not predictable at all, because just when you think he's coming wide, he's suprise you with a straight punch. With that being said, I do think he's going to fall soon and fall hard ... someone is going to catch him with something lethal and he's not going to be able to recover. I don't like that peek a boo style too much and at the end of the day, its only going to get you hurt because if he's fighting someone faster than him, he leaves himself open for the counter. The thing with that is, he's strong and if you make a mistake, you will get knocked out. I still think he's garbage, but until someone beats this man - he has my respect !!
I don't think Froch will be easy ... despite Froch losing to Dirrell last Sat ... he does have a bit of skill and he will stand tall, and he can lure Abraham into a brawl ... unlike Dirrelll Abraham will not Froch think he's the stronger man, no matter how smart either fighter is ... that will play more in the hands of Froch because his motor is always running and he's always in tip top shape. At the end of the fight ... i'll give the nod to Froch by decision -- Abraham is a notoriously slow started and by the time the mid rounds come ... Froch will have a comfortable lead and we will see a slight sign of some boxing ability from Froch. I don't think Froch has faced a guy who matches or exceeds him with power and thats going to make Froch box more ... Froch will keep the jab working and move. I think Froch is the stronger man of the two ... Abraham just has better leverage on his punches. Reflexes edge goes to Abraham ... but i'm not sure if he's faster than Froch. It'll be a great fight !! and i'm sure no matter what it will go the distance.
It will take a guy who is both strong and very skilled to beat Abraham or someone intelligent with a high workrate and good chin to take a few if he does land some haymakers.. He doesn't give you much to hit throughout the fight so to KO him, it will have to be a huge puncher who can set his punches up the right way... someone who is intelligent like he is. It will have to be someone with a high workrate and someone who will not let him get off first, something Jermain failed to do (he was getting beat to the jab). That said, FROCH is NOT the guy to beat him. He will make easy work of Fronch simply because: 1) Froch gets hit way too much 2) his chin isn't that good 3) he isn't the best pressure fighter
Abraham gets hit too much as well ... with the analysis of the fight you would think that Abraham didn't get hit ... he was just as lumped up as Taylor (if not worse) after the fight. Abraham gets hit just as much as Froch does, and i'm not 100% sure that Abraham is stronger than Froch ... I also never seen Froch bruised up to the extent that Abraham has shown over the years. Also the higher motor goes to Froch ... the aggressiveness goes to Froch ... the power goes to Froch ... the skill goes to Froch ... the chin is even ... I think Froch can get Abraham to drop his hands during the mid point of the fight and I think that Froch is a better body puncher.
The power goes to Froch? He wears guys down, he doesn't have the one punch type power that Abraham has displayed. At least Abraham keeps his hands up and as a point, if Abraham gets hit so much, then why was it that Froch go knocked down and nearly ko'd against Taylor? Chin Froch? Taylor did not even hurt AA. Andre Dirrell who isn't even a big puncher by any means almost had Froch out of there if it weren't for the round ending. AA was in there with much harder puncher than Froch in Miranda and was never knocked down. Like him or not, AA is a very effective boxer. He is unpredictable yet intelligent and powerful, a difficult puzzle to solve. With that said, its gonna take a much better fighter than Froch to beat AA, I guarantee it.
Sloppy the man beats his opponent by KO and he's sloppy :huhSome people just know it all don't they ..Cant wait for his fight with Dirrell ..I'd liek to see how he and his team approach Abrham's defense .
What fight were you watching? The only time Abraham wasn't in complete control of his boxing was when he attempted some wild left-hooks. But if you don't buy a ticket you'll never win the lottery... Apart from that his defence was superb, his jab was deadly accurate, he did nice bodywork and his straight right hand worked perfectly.
