Dirrell was faking imo. It was Jones v Griffin all over again. Watch the replay, there was a delay when he was just going to complain and then went down and started "twitching". This isn't going to be popular, but he saw an opportunity and took it imo. AA was starting to get to him in those last few rounds. It was nothing like the McClellan incident. McClellan walked back to his corner and his own steam and then collapsed. He'd also been in one of the most brutal fights ever and suffered several rabbit punches. Dirrell took an arm punch to the chin and had actually absorbed bigger punches during the fight. An unsatisfactory end to a, otherwise, good performance from Dirrell even though those last couple of rounds would have been interesting.
if you are referring to the comment i made about McClellan it was a respose to a comment about you not having to be KO'd to be hurt, if you are not my apologies and you are c r a c k e r s if you think he was faking
I reckon Froch is geting a bit of a raw deal in this thread. Dirrel looked better tonight due to AA's slow workrate. Carl is an awkward guy to fight and what he lacks in speed he makes up for in heart and power.
Oh well, silly Arthur. Hopefully he learns from this too and does more work early on. Good on Dirrell - he made the changes he needed to and put on a good performance. He got a favour from the ref with the kd not being called (was it Dickie Cole?), which may have led to Arthur's frustration, but he looked mature and confident tonight. The fight against Ward will be very interesting.
No, I'm not a troll. I wouldn't type something if I didn't believe it. Watch it again and try not to let everyone's outrage colour your judgement. If you still believe it's legit, fair enough, I will listen to your opinion. But, to me, it was Jones v Griffinesque.
I've just seen it on Youtube and at first viewing and from the angle I saw it looked iffy to me, but I'll need to see it a few more times
i aint watched it yet,but ive seen the ko,he was out cold,no acting there,it was a cracking hook witch caught AD clean on th chin,he was out no doubt. and froch will get a raw deal on here,he is MUCH better than AA,AA is a slow plodder, typical german robot, the only thing what gets him off the hook is his power, when froch gets to him,he will beat him into submision,:happy,i have never rated AA,glad he got schooled tonight, dirrel is a class act.:good
cannot belive that was given as a slip in the 10th and Dirrel acted like the b1tch he is , he ran and fell to the floor against froch and now takes the easy way out after he felt arthur;s power
theres some ****in extreme (and stupid) opinions in this thread. dirrel did not fake unconciousness, and the illegal punch was not premeditated. dirrell couldn't of been on the floor for more than half a second before arthur threw that punch.
I thought it was suspicious, very delayed reaction. AA should have known better though, in Dirrells home town, especially in light of how the refereeing had been clearly favoring Dirrell up to that point. BTW, I know Dirrell is from Flint Michigan but to all intents and purposes it was his hometown.
Remember what i said to you Dan. "dont be surprised if Dirrell stands AA on his head". AA is a guy who takes too much time off in fights and simply isnt busy enough. Dirrell done a very good job. As for the DQ its all moot. I dont think its anything like Griffin Jones as Griffin was fishing for a DQ. Dirrell got ht illegally by a bonafide puncher. Anyway they'll probably be a rematch. AA will bring his A game and more than likely knock Dirrell out.
