He was cornering Dirrell in the 11th. But you don;t win rounds on cornering and missing. You have to score punches. He didnt land anything except possibly a jab?

And you can't give a guy a round based on what would have probably happened.

Neither boxer was landing much of note, but Dirrell was in control of the action. He was shutting down the fight and doing it successfully until he slipped.

I didn't give the guy the round based on what would have happened. I admit sometimes I do sway to the agressor and If I went back and watched that round again I may see it different. But then I did score the 10th 10-8 to abraham based on the KD. Even if the Ref couldn't/wouldn't see it.

AA was pure garbage last night. dirrell made him look like an amateur. it's funny how people say he would have gotten to dirrell eventually...based on what? he didn't do squat in that 11th round prior to landing the illegal punch. give credit to dirrell...he was the better man last night. he boxed beautifully and mixed up his punches really well.

Neither had a big advantage, but it's no secret that Abraham always takes the first minute of the round off and comes in strong in the end. Just like you can't say Dirrel would've won a decision if not for the DQ. AA clearly had the momentum.

All that makes sense, but the original question was who was winning the 11th. Everyone is talking about what Abraham 'would have done' but up to that point, he hadn't done a thing.

And as far as what's 'no secret' about Abraham, you can't predict these things, man. No one would have predicted Dirrell beating the **** out of Abraham to the point that he would have definitely needed a KO. And no one would have predicted that Abraham would be the first one to taste the canvas.

This is one fight that should lead everyone away from making assumptions about what should have happened.

To me...it seemed Dirrell was dominating the fight up until 10... and he was probably winning 11 as well.... but 1rnd 10 signified the swing....and abraham was getting closer although not effectively catching his opponent...i could see dirrell getting caught later on....it's a shame it ended when it did and how it did.... Dirrell while impressive against a straight up and down euro fighter seems to lack the guts.... don't like the way he always falls to the floor like in the froch fight..... he showed more guts this time round but was lucky he didn't have to fight the last 5 minutes

    looks in trouble???

What did Arthur land in the 11th?

I just don't get how anyone can say he was winning it when he hadn't landed any punches. Again, you are judging a round based on what you perceive he could do, or how "in trouble" you think Dirrell may be.

I am learning a lot about people on ESB today.:good

Dirrell was ready to be knocked out, sent down from a left jab/slip, noticed he looked over at his corner, then acted like he was suddenly knocked out. Abraham was on his way to a knockout win and Dirrell knew it. Cole is an idiot. Abraham clearly knocked Dirrell down and Cole called it a slip! Video says otherwise. The cut was caused by a headbutt, video clearly shows this. Dirrell did a good acting job. Watch the video again, watch Dirrell look at his corner before pretending he was knocked out. Dirrell was finished and he knew it. This is not the first time Cole has been biased. Check out many of his fights in Texas protecting the home fighter. I had Abraham losing on points as I expect him to do, but the knockout was there to be had, Dirrell was finished, therefore the acting job.
