i actually agree with you on this one, although i have to say that Abraham is a slow starter and Direll just took advantage of that and was popping his combinations off of AA's gloves, and the fact that AA stood in there and was even mounting a come back before the DQ, shows how tough AA is, but yes, a AA early KO over Froch is kinda silly, i think people are still feeling woozy over the Martinez-Williams KO, but i do see AA stopping or KOing Froch in the later rounds, between the 10th and 12th

I pick Arthur by mid KO. What an entertaining fighter and murderous puncher and a great guy, as well......... I think and hope Abraham will win the entire tournament. :good

Great points there Booradley...huhumm...I mean Little_Red :thumbsup

One thing is for sure, this is the fight where we'll truly validate the kind of power Abraham has as a Super Middleweight.

Boo, you can take your disguise off now. We know by your thoughtful analysis that it's you. These idiots who've posted on here just started watching this sport. Carl's long jab and cunning looks can pick AA off
while arthur looks to counter from his peek-a-boo stance. Then out
of nowhere AA will try to explode on carl, but carl will be looking for that.
While froch is slow to advance, he is very aware of what's coming and makes short movements to avoid clean punches. He'll make AA reach while
he looks to counter. Where AA will be dangerous is when carl is pulls out.
If carl pulls back while upright, he WILL get caught. However, i've not
seen carl pull back straight. He does an excellent job of keeping his chin
tucked and getting low when avoiding shots. He looked bad against dirrell
because he had to chase him. AA will be in front of him the whole fight
albeit with a high guard, but carl will be able to pick his shots smartly. I like carl to win this fight on points by a 116-112 margin because of activity and effective aggression. This fight will also just have tense moments, but won't live up to the hype it's receiving.

If they were the same size... AA by KO no doubt. However Froch is much physically bigger and probably stronger, which is what throws a ****** wrench into this fight prediction. It depends on Frochs physical strength. As we saw against Pascal, he can be strong and physical.

I would love to see AA winning as well, but it's odd indeed that so many seem to already count Froch out. On paper this is quite an even fight and both men could win.

Still hoping for a KO by Abe, but I would neither be surprised if Froch wins on points or even by KO if both trade in the middle of the ring and Froch catches Abraham with a very solid punch.

    War Arthur!

They are both highly skilled and hungry after losses, gonna be a great fight with both taking a bunch of abuse. May the best man win.

No wager on that, but admittedly, Froch is in more danger here to get ko`d than at any time but its a either way fight.Abraham could also get bludgeoned.I do have Froch having more chance of losing due to his big daft chin right up in the air.

Froch is underrated, but Abraham has a huge edge style wise for this fight.

I made Froch the favorite in my previous post, but I am by no means counting AA out. Go watch Carl's feet and left hand! He has the rather nasty habit of telegraphing his jab, and then jabbing off the front foot. That leaves him with his chin hanging out while throwing a punch Stevie Wonder would see coming. Dangerous thing to do in a fight with Abraham.

Three days ago this was my analysis of the fight:

"Whenever I see a fighter going against his natural game or trying to change something about his game I know he's **** out of luck....the battle's you lose today you lost years ago and you cannot change the weapons you have right before the fight and expect to win. Froch is trying to practice keeping his gaurd high and being more defensively elussive. It looks like he had to pull out of the fight once already cause he wasn't happy with where he was at interms of improvement. Perhaps he realized then that the war had already been lost. You can't change your style for one fight and expect to be victorious. Something as fundanmental as Defense you have to spend a career mastering. Win First Fight Later or suffer the consequences....too bad for Froch because he's probably my favourite fighter but this weekend he suffers the consiquences of a lifetime of neglecting defence and gets knocked out. "

Before that I was also picking Froch to win....Just to show you how much of a 180 degree turn I've done on this fight here's another post I made about a month ago on the way I saw the fight playing out at the time. You'll laugh your ass off cause its pretty much exactly the opposite of the post above.....

    "
Just watched the whole Froch AA press conference and was plesently entertained. After seeing the size of Froch relative to AA I have to say the people that believe Froch is too big for AA might have a very good point. Froch certainly seemed both wider and taller.

As far as my break down of the fight goes you can make a very good case for Froch being the best boxer that AA has ever faced. Additionally, Froch is probably the biggest fighter AA has ever faced, he is probably the strongest fighter AA has ever faced, he is probably the hardest hitting fighter AA has ever faced, he probably has more stamina then anyone AA has ever faced and mentally he is probably the most couragous fighter AA has ever faced and the smartest fighter AA has ever faced....

AA is probably the cleverest fighter, the best defensive fighter and the hardest hitting fighter Froch has ever faced....

If your following my logic you can see where I am going with this....I see AA as being the fighter with the most to over come in this fight.

Classically speaking Froch is the better boxer and if this was an amatuer bought he would be the more likely to box at range, pile up points and win the rounds. So based on styles he should be able to lead this fight on points for the majourity of the figth.

The big task for Froch is for him to avoid getting worn down and deconstructed the way many AA opponents have been before. If you go back to my original assessment of strengths and weaknesses you see that the only big thing that Carl needs to work on is avoiding getting hit with the big bomb. In this means spending his training camp practicing 1) not stepping back into a left hook 2) not ducking the left hook only to run into a straight right hand and 3) give AA very few opportunities to counter punch him when AA squares up against the ropes.

Yes with Froch's hands down style asking him to become a defensive genius in one training camp is a lot to ask. But it is the only thing he has to do to own all the intagibles. And if you give a world class fighter a whole training camp to work on something he can usually be very prepared come fight night. No, I do not expect him to be Pernell Whitaker come fight night. But matching skill sets is not a game of absolutes its "shades of grey" and I expect the Carl Froch that shows up to fight AA to be closer to the "I can avoid most of your stuff" shade then the "I haven't got a bloody clue where the punches are coming from" shade. If you catch my drift."

I've waffled back and forth on this fight sooo many times that sometimes its hard to tell what I'm thinking. I think I'm back to thinking Carl by UD...but who the **** knows...I talk a good game but if I'm being honest I really got no freakin clue whats going to happen....just hope its a good fight thats all.

P.S. If I was being Dwyer on this one I'd pick Carl Froch to win with a stratle of AA by knockout.....think thats probably where my money will go...butI can't tell you where my head is going to be come fight night.
