Think Hearns/Duran: on paper it should have been a great fight. In the ring it was a one sided beating. Same deal here, and the tall skinny guy wins again.

Pavlik is Hearns now? :think Horse | Cart

Also, Abe was never a lightweight.

Don't get smart with me!!:nono It's just an analogy, and no analogy is perfect.

There probably isn't a single person on ESB who spent more time than me looking at a potential KP/AA fight. If this fight ever happens, you will see a surprisingly one sided fight: KP by KO.

At MW right now, I do favor Kelly by KO (looking at Abraham's body in his last few fights, despite initial apprehension about the move to 168, he really seems better off there - the eject button seems to have been hit just in time).

Based on the performances of both above the middleweight limit, I still like Arthur to eventually get through and stun Pavlik - and even you have to give it up on this front: the man knows how to finish.

I respect your opinion and the time you spend looking at this potential matchup, but will you change your mind a bit, if AA does well in his next fights?

You talked about Abraham´s career is a marketing gimmick, but what would you say, if AA beats Dirrell and Froch in his next fights?

He faces the best SMWs in the world in the next years and has good chances to beat them in my opinion. So what is Pavlik doing in this time, that makes his career so much better?

I really hope that Abraham-Pavlik will happen in the future, but I doubt it.

If AA wins his next two fights, Boo has to jump onto the AA bandwagon. I bookmarked the thread in which he wrote that himself ;)

Boo has nightmares of Abraham's right hand, he knows King Arthur will drop the AA-bomb!

Don't allow him to jump on the AA bandwagon cause he has to stay on the Pavlik hype train till the last stop! Problem is that the Pavlik hype train has been stuck in the Youngstown station nearly 3 years!!!!!:-(

Pavlik has never had a great performance over 160 losing to BHop and having trouble in the Taylor rematch. I think Pavlik can win with a superior jab and a good cross. I like his long range pressure style. But Abraham reacts well with pressure see miranda 2. I feel Kelly will deliver long bombs and get caught with wide hooks coming in. It would be a hell of a fight between to solid punchers with no KO defeats on their records. I voted Pav but Im not to sure I made the right pick. I just feel he has the ability to back him up and dictate the ring though I could see Abraham fighting a brilliant defensive fight and winning.
