BoxNation or a Boxing channel could have worked for me but the wrong man has been stearing the ship. Interviews, Documentaries, HD, Boxing films, if Ifilm can be at every weigh in and presser why couldnt BoxNation? Add to that there have been 3 domestic shows in 3 months this year.

Frank and Bunce can talk all they want about giving something to the fans, BoxNation does the bare minimum to make as much money as possible for Frank and was set up because he had burnt his bridges elsewhere and had no other choice.

 

The red button to watch the undercard for the card next week is great, and the headline fight Bellew is a good fight, as is Crolla-Matthews, so that is good. But, it is not enough, which is why I cancelled my subs. If they give me my half price deal again, I will renew it but not paying £46 again.

 

We get to see fights we didn't legally have access to before, thats the be all and end all for me. Anything else is a bonus and def. not enough to make the channel a "quite a disapointment".

Not getting at you but a few years ago when people were shouting out for a dedicated boxing channel what the hell did they expect? No promoter ties in a sport that lives on that way of doing business? Plush studios for what has become a fringe sport? I just wanted to be able to watch more boxing.

 

You could apply all of that to Sky and it would be entirely true and much less justifiable for that company to be peddling.

Sky has been broadcasting boxing for nearly 30 years and can't get a decent team? Shameful.

 

Boxnation need to get Sarah Stone involved again.

I live in the US now so I watch Showtime and HBO and the Matchroom cards are on local TV here. I download Ringside but not the boxing hour.

The Frampton card was quality, Bellew vs Chilemba is quality.

Question for you lads: Is there a chance that brook vs alexander may end up on boxnation? I ask this because Matthysse vs Peterson is the main fight that night and with GBP's partnership with boxnation, could they be showing it? :think

Yeah, it wouldn't take a lot to make the channel much better. Just send one person to interview fighters, film weigh ins and stuff like that, and it'd be good to see. They could hire someone who can make videos, like Gorilla Productions, to put together decent hype videos for fighters like BJS and Cleverly. Bunce mentioned a while ago that he would love to do a documentary about Carlos Monzon, and I understand if that couldn't be arranged, but how about an hour long special with him talking to other experts about the careers of fighters like Monzon, Duran, Ali, Frazier etc..?

I understand that they need to keep costs down but they could make big changes without having to spend bucket loads. They just need a bit more innovation and money, but considering how much better the product would be, it'd be worth it.

 

You will never be happy with the punditry. The hardcore are not the people to judge, applys with every sport. Every football podcast i listen to slates MOTD, the F1 one I listen to hates Sky. In the US the fans hate Showtime and HBO teams.

 

Even Maloney brought over martinez for munroe. Not exactly a really tough fight for Frampton and calling that card quality is exaggerating.

You won't find anyone who agrees with that more than me! I can't stand the Sky team. They're either boring as ****, like McCrory and Nelson, or just creepy and horrible to watch, like Adam Smith. The Sky boxing team are terrible.
