Undefeated IBF middleweight champion King Arthur Abraham and manager Wilfried Sauerland today admitted their surprise at Jack Loew´s most recent remarks in the press. Kelly Pavlik´s trainer had told reporters that his camp has yet to receive a response from Team Sauerland regarding a potential unification clash - a clash that could take place either in the United States or in Germany. Staging the showdown between the two champions is exactly what Wilfried Sauerland intends to do. In fact, he has been trying to set something up for months. “We were very surprised to read Jack Loew´s comments,” Sauerland said. “He must be living on a different planet....

They need to fight each other or both should move up to Super Middleweight. There isn't that much left in there division. You have Felix Sturm and no one else.

this dude isnt as bad as Kohl's but he isnt far from it. Pavlik has been calling for a fight with AA since before he was beat by Hopkins...This guy is full of **** saying that he has been looking to make the fight for months. It goes against everything that we know about German base promotional companies...They have in the past and even NOW got their fighters belts and then sat on them in Germany and fought a list of nobdies and cab drivers...Its really sad, I would hate to be a German boxing fan.

What are you trying to say. A or B ?

    A) Pavlik first choice of opponent is Abraham, and Pavlik is willing to go to Germany for less money to fight
    or
    B) Abraham is begging for at fight against Pavlik and therefore knows he has to go to US.

Interesting that AA mentions that he is only a mw for the Pavlik fight. When AA lost by tko to Miranda and came away with the win anyway, I despised the guy, but he has made me a fan since then by knocking out scrubs in convincing fashion (not just winning a decision, but highlight reel ko's) and then showing he had balls by coming over and knocking out Miranda, a guy that broke his jaw. A fight, I might add, that Kessler deemed dangerous enough to duck. Not AA though, he has full confidence in his ability. I have to say, I think he is very confident and believes that he would put Pavlik to sleep, which I believe he has a good chance of doing.

Yeah Abraham fought Miranda in the US for a lot less money than he would have got for fighting anyone in Germany because he was trying to not fight Pavlik :patsch

Now, what has Pavlik done to show that he wants the fight?

So what your saying is that he fought Miranda in a rematch to get a fight with Pavlik??? And he fought him at SMW to do so??? that makes no ****ing sense, but why would it??? Most sackswinger dont make sense:huh

He fought him in the US because Miranda has a profile in the US that far exceeds his actual ability and Bob Arum kept commenting that Abraham needs to raise his profile in the US before a Pavlik fight was feasible.

It makes perfect sense. For one, if AA's people are negotiating with HBO, I can definitely see where HBO would want to get AA more exposure to the American fans, what better way than to have him fight a brash, trash talking, exciting slugger like Miranda?

Also, AA's win over Miranda was very disputed, and Pavliks win was emphatic. It looks alot better for AA now that he knocked miranda out to end the dispute, quicker than Pavlik i might add.

No, Pavlik has been calling for a fight since the first Taylor fight. I think the fact that the trash talking is heating up is a good thing. It keeps everybody interested.

Remember 2008 was suppose to be the Taylor rematch, Duddy, Rubio, and Abraham? That got screwed up by chasing a Calzaghe fight, Marquez beating Lorenzo, and all the trouble they had finding a fall opponent for Kelly. In 2009 we'll probably see Pavlik fight Duddy, the winner of Williams/Wright, and Abraham.

These frequent accusations that Top Rank and/or Team Pavlik is ducking Abraham are ludicrous. They fought Miranda when he was still considered a dangerous monster, fought Taylor twice, chased hard after a Calzaghe fight, and fought Hopkins at LHW, but their going to duck Arthur Abraham: Ridiculous.

What are you trying so say. C or D.

C.) Abraham was willing to go to US to fight Miranda at a catch weight to make his name known
    or
    D) Abraham went to US for less money to fight a fighter he already beat ones, because Abraham wanted to come to US as a tourist anyway.
