    Not necessarily...there were fighters back in that 15 round era even, who were not good at, or effective at fighting the 15 round distance. God only knows how many are like that today.

    Those last 3 rds after 12rds of fighting separate many. I still watch fights and say if it went 3 more the outcome would be different. 15 rd game plan is much different than 12 in the mind the body and the soul

    a 15 rd fighter is a different animal

    especially in the heavyweight division.

    Eh, like you said, fighters would just adjust to the last three rounds. They prepare kids to fight, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 coming up. The same was done for 15.
    Theres a lot of things that contribute to a tough fight, and the length isnt always the main factor.
