Obviously they are both excellent, tough fighters and fun to watch. None deserves to be labeled "one dimensional", if this fight ever happens i would slightly favour Pavlik. Pavliks high punch output could trouble Abraham.

Could be. I see your point. But that fight is a while ago. Boxers improve every fight. ''basically the same style'' is not a secure win for pavlik.
What if AA lands on or a few of his bombs? You think he won't land that on pavlik?

We'll see. I still say both could win this.
    Though rooting for pavlik

Didn't think I'd be agreeing with an Abraham fan. But, I actually think that less people are overhyping Pavlik to God (or even elite) status than you think. The significant majority of posters think Calzaghe/Kessler are one level above Pavlik.

I've seen far more serious (key word) posts about how Pavlik is an "average" fighter than posts about how Pavlik is a top 4 pound for pound or better. Right now, both statements are ridiculous.

Fair enough...me too see Kessler/JC above him at the moment. Lets have him defending his title a few times to see how really go(o)d he is...and don't judge a fight before it's actually happen if you don't know much about one f the fighters (this isn't directed at you Stay).

I have seen both in alot of fights (Pavlik since Zuniga and AA nearly all of his fights) and think that it's a damn close fight with Pavlik having the advantage over 12 rounds...but don't count out a KO win for each man...

I would favout Pavlik but if there is a man to beat pavlik at MW its AA. he is the toughest guy at MW, he throws bombs and he is a wicked finisher. But he only fights in sperts. If he could get to kelly early he would finish him but if it went late kelly's power and activity would be too much for him. I don't see this fight going past the 9th. and if it gets to the sixth round its good night AA.

it certainly is the MW fight that i would like to see most. I think that AA will want a showcase fight in america and Kelly will either be fighting Taylor or taking an easy money fight next. So I don't see this happening until june or something if it goes down at all.

I'd favor Pavlik over Abraham based on his length and punch output. He also punches as hard as AA, I think, but here's the danger for Kelly: Abraham throws punches in combination and explosively, and that is where Pavlik is most vulnerable.

A clubber like Miranda won't fare well against Pavlik, nor will a looper and non-defender like Taylor. But Abraham stays in his shell and picks his spots, giving him a real chance.

Still, I edge Pavlik based on his jab, aggression and overall activity. Abraham is going to lose to a random, unheralded, slick boxer if he isn't careful. He fights like a guy who is much older than he is. And he'd better steer clear of 168, no matter how much is to be made there.

Pavlik would beat him. The thing about Pavlik is he fights tall, and I think Abraham would have a problem getting inside to hurt Pavlik. Pavlik would bust him up on the outside with jabs and eventually land a right that sends Abraham into lala land.

My grandpa can make AA to back up. That's the way he fights.

I would have it 55%-45% for Pavlik. Should be fun to watch.

I do think Abraham is dangerous to Pavlik because he is a big puncher, has a very solid chin and has displayed a huge heart. Had Abraham not broken his chin, I think he would of finnished Miranda in similar fashion that Pavlik did.

Pavlik likes to fight very aggressive and trade punches, that is right up Abrahams ally! The fight should be made.

AA will present us with nothing but a typical Pavlik fight. They'll go back and forth for 4 to 5 rounds, and then Kelly will step on the gas and end AA's title reign before the end of the 8th round. Personally I am very excited at the prospect of Pavlik putting back together what Taylor let fall apart. I can't wait to see him with all four titles!
