"We are ready to fight Pavlik at any time and absolutely everywhere. Arthur would even come to his home town" - Team Arthur Abraham, 2/20/2009

It might sound weird, but his record says that King Arthur Abraham is more successful before a hostile crowd than before his own. Think Edison Miranda. The ref and the doctor's job was controversial and **** poor in their first fight, it’s should have been stopped, but badly injured King Arthur was forced to go through 12 to win a well deserved decision (with the legitimate point deductions).

Now in the United States, before Miranda's Florida crowd, not having the doctor on his side, Abraham had to show he could do better. And all he said before the fight was 'every ring is the same, no matter where it is', then he knocked out Miranda half the time Pavlik did.

Call it Armenian power if you like, but look what happened when Vic Darchinyan was booed in the Mijares and Arce fights. Punishment and knockout. He wasn’t booed vs. Nonito Donaire, and we all know the result. Armenian people are nice, but really don't like getting booed. So if the King Arthur vs. Kelly Pavlik fight happens, AA will most likely finish Youngstown's hero earlier in Youngstown, than let's say in Berlin or Yerevan (no, it's not a German city). BOOradley and pals will bring the beast out of the King, and Arthur will make Henry VIII look like a humanitarian on an extra warm-hearted day.

I thought you were gonna say that Pavlik will try to be more aggressive and exciting for his hometown fans, and he'll get careless, and he'll be countered hard and get KO'd.

I'm not sure. Abraham is a calm and collected character. He stays in his shell until he sees an opportunity to counter. He capitilizes on mistakes, whenever they come.

I don't think he did anything out of the ordinary against Miranda. He managed to get in a good shot...hurt him...and finish him off. There was no emotion.

Darchinyan is a different character entirely. He is responsive to his opponent and outside factors.

No, it would've been a reasonable thought, not Booradleyesque.

You know this kind of confidence attracts disappointment.

That would favor Abraham too. The last time Kelly fought there, the broken window won by 108 stitches.

This is assuming that Abraham would win, of course, and in that case, it wouldn't make a difference. Of course , if Kelly knocks Arthur out then the point of this thread is moot.

you're reading too much into it. Abraham KO'd Miranda quick in the states and not in Germany, therefore he would KO Pavlik earlier in Youngstown? What kind of f'd up logic is that

I don't think it matters where the fight takes place. I think there is more money in Germany, and that may be the deciding factor. Abraham is the better boxer, he has the better chin, and has better one punch power. I favor him to eventually stop Kelly.
