he might...but given the amateur type of point system it often makes sense using the double guard type of defence. Every hit counts...but as in pro touching the other guy isn't allways a point scoring fact
No, you haven't. You clearly don't know what the **** you're talking about. All I did was disagree with your statement, and you felt the need to go off on me like a little girl.
lol yea, this so called Amatear just beat the most experienced fighter in thew whole tourny.... lol the dumbasses on this forum never seem to amaze me.
:good You see this Hitman76? Jammerdk and I were able to politely disagree with each other without resorting to insults.
It's called the shell, and is normal in German boxing.....been a number of guys who were World Champions using that, including Winkey Wright. The art of hitting with out being hit....not chin checking....yep, they got a rule, you are not awarded points for hitting some one on the gloves with a beautiful hook.....odd that.
Hit and not be hit, AA has an excellent style Id say especially for someone short, hes not going to win a jab war with his reach so cant see much wrong with what he does
probs to AA for getting the KO....but let's not get overboard the fight was way closer than many might had expected. And YES I still think he has a AMATEURISH kind of defence...but hey it worked so I bet he doesn't care
Now 83% of his fights end in KO....well there must have been a TKO or two too. There was anothor guy who's name I forgot who gave him a real good fight...better or as good as Taylor, and a right uppercut in the 12th KO'ed him. Again a single punch.....out of nowhere. It was a fight were I thought AA needed the 12th, or it would have been close...not that he'd lost, but one judge might have scored it a draw. It's a boing fight....nothing happened untill the last 15 seconds of the fight.:huh If he was any good, he done it with the first punch......like Tyson.:admin Well you can be sure after AA retires he will not be doing dance TV programs like Zoo, or Cal.
nothing wrong with his style but I do think he is a cocksucker so I'd like to see him get knocked out.
His style is not a new one nor is it amateurish. If you think that style is amateurish you need to learn how amateurs fight. Amateurs rely more on speed and movement. Even though Abraham relies on movement, he also relies a lot on power, body punches and counters. Abraham is well known for giving up early rounds to figure opponents out and is a slow starter. A slow starter is NOT amateurish, that's something you can afford doing as a prof with 12 rounds, as an amateur slow starters lose after round 3 or 4. I'm an Abraham fan and enjoy discussing/reading criticism, at least be logical about yours and not clueless.
Boxing would be really boring if everyone fought the same way. Arthur has an iron guard and an iron chin...you can get your rounds in early, but he'll kick your ass anytime he wants once you start getting tired. He's an interesting puzzle to solve, it's like trying to dismantle a bomb before it explodes on you.
