The next world title defense of undefeated IBF middleweight champion King Arthur Abraham is likely to take place in the United States in June. “We are trying best we can to give him big fights in America to boost his popularity on both sides of the ocean,” said manager Wilfried Sauerland after Abraham outclassed Lajuan Simon in Kiel on Saturday night to clinch his 29th victory in as many fights (23 KOs). Pavlik, anyone?:D

I thought Pavlik was suppose to fight Mora? Pavlik and Abraham should fight already though, they are both prime and on winning streaks.

The best thing ever would be waking up and reading that Pavlik's next fight is vs AA not mora.

who really cares about abraham? this SAT we saw how limited he is: except his punching power he has nothing to offer.

he will lose against pavlik regardless if the bout happens in the US or in germany

@boxpert: We KNOW what happens if we see it...

But it's nice to see how people start to underestimate AA after what happened last Saturday. I hope Team Kelly Pavlik will underestimate him too, but first Arum has to do his homework.

Abraham was not in good condition Saturday, that's true. But, can he be in his better shape at 160? I don't think so. Not anymore. That's why his management is trying desperately to organize a big fight soon. Personnally, I think it's too late. Pavlik is at his best at 160, Abraham at 168.

Abraham has never faced a slick boxer. We'll know his value when he does.
So, I take for myself Maxime's question: why not Bute?

I can't think of a slick boxer at 160 at the moment. Elvin Ayala is probably as close as there is to a slick boxer at 160 right now.

Btw, Sauerland said at the presser that he would organize him a superb nutritionist and ordered him to stay in shape/controlling his weight in his holidays.
Maybe this could help him to some extend...

If AA stays in the shape he showed against Simon he's not going to win a possible bout against Pavlik.

But I'm pretty optimistic that his preparation for a fight against "the ghost" would be much better...
