I don't know. Would it be like Oscar coming down to 147 for Pac? He was there way too early and had lost muscle. He looked emaciated. Arthur's face in the weigh in photos of the first Marquez fight and the Simon fight just reminded me of that. He has no fat to lose. My guess is when the body starts taking from muscle to shed pounds, that is not a good thing. If I ever get rid of my fat to test this theory, I'll let you know. I struggle to lose 5 pounds and even that won't put me anywhere near what I should be. :-( These guys simply amaze me on many levels.
For his health, Abraham should leave the 160 division as soon as possible. I don't want to hear excuses from him. "I had problems making the weight. I was weightdrained". We know it, he knows it. His promoter knows it for a long time. If he stays at 160, that's for the big fight against Pavlik. Unfortunately, Pavlik's loss against Hopkins delayed the unification bout. Forrest fight is to promote the big one. Abraham makes the bet he can stay at 160 for two more fights. I wish him good luck.
atsch Abraham has problems making weight for a long time. Two years later, Sauerland has the brilliant idea to hire a good nutritionnist. Wow. Of course, when a fighter is not challenged, it's harder to be disciplined. Abraham's opponents last year were not good enough to scare Abraham and motivate him to stay in shape between fights. Maybe Forrest ant the perspective of a fight against Pavlik will motivate him, knowing after those 2 fights, he will be a SMW. But Hermit makes a point when he says Abraham has not only fat to lose to make weight. In fact, he may have problems to make weight in the SMW too!
See my earlier posts. I think this is beyond nutritionist now. I think he just doesn't belong at MW. Sorry to say that, but Oscar went that route to get back down to 147 and he looked like crap. Look at Abraham's face at the first Marquez weigh in and the Simon weigh in.
