I think Bute is smart enough to out point him. Height is going to be a bigger factor when AA moves up. I agree with the rest of the pick though.
When Abraham broke his jaw against Miranda, who did he get for his next fights? Sébastien Demers first and some other tomato cans after. Pavlik lost big time to Hopkins, it's normal to rebuild his confidence. Your boy did the same thing. He sounds like Froch: only fighting average boxers but always saying everyone is avoiding him. The point is: Abraham is not fighting the best available opponent. He fights c level fighters when waiting for the big fight. Don't expect Sauerland to do anything different about that in the future. I just hope for him he gets some day a big fight.
There aren't many to be had at MW. We know the deal with Sturm. Pavlik and Abraham will both have clear slates by June. There have been mandatories in the way before. If you pay attention to all the middle weight postings here, you know Kelly is looking for this to happen in June.
Abraham will fight on March 14 and we still don't know who his opponent will be. When I talk about Sauerland tricks, that's an old one. You sign the contract without enough time for the opponent to prepare. Abraham knows when and where he will fight. His opponent doesn't have that chance. It's not Arthur's fault, but he signed with a crooked man and is stuck with him.
In AA's title reign, every opponent got at least about 6 weeks to prepair - I think that's enough time for a challenger. And btw you didn't notice, but I gave a hint who AA will be fighting on March 14.
I know Pavlik had started preparing to fight Paul Williams based on what was happening in negotiations. I'm sure some of these guys in negotiations with AA are not sitting waiting. Pavlik had said prior to getting his title that anything more than 6 weeks was too much because you could wear down. Now he goes 8 though.
I haven't heard ANYTHING serious coming from Sturm's saying he wants to fight Pavlik. I'm sure he wouldn't get the money he would get from Abraham. I think Sturm needed to move the focus from Abraham while paddling his little webbed feet as fast as they would go.
You have gotta be shittin' meatsch This cat claims he wants a shot at the champ, so why doesn't he at least TRY to prove he is serious. Let's look at a bit of history: July 2006; Kelly Pavlik handed Bronco McKart his first ever KO loss, and he did it in under 6 rounds. August 2007: McKart wins NABF title by beating Enrique Ornales. December 2007: McKart loses rematch to Ornales due to broken ear drum, but Ornelas gets put on his ass TWICE. March 2008: McKart draws with Raul Marquez. Novemeber 2008: Abraham fights Marquez. March 2009: Abraham fights Ornelas.atsch Arthur is not feasting on Pavlik's left overs. He's feasting on the **** Pavlik's left overs puked up!
Dont be so sure. U could be 100% right, but Geale is no mug and i can see him giving Abraham a lot of trouble if AA is off his game a little. Geale is very slick, quite a beautiful boxer when he's really firing. However, he has been dropped by lesser punches than AA, so a KO by Abraham wouldnt surprise. But expect Daniel to give Arthur plenty of cheek.:good
I have not seen much of Inrique Orneleas, i know he is Librados brother, but how good is he? does he have an ironchin like his brother..?
I've watched the Ornales/Rubio fight a couple of times. Both guys were easy to hit so you can say the 'chin checked' each other regularly, but I'm not convinced either have real power. This is the only fight I have watched for either though. In ways it was an OK fight, but it was clearly a level below what you expect to see from top guys.
He got knocked down twice by Bronco McKart. At 160 Bronco ain't exactly a power house. Ornelas is slightly less dangerous than the much feared TBA
