Refering to AA's performance against Crotch.

That's pretty ****ed up. I mean I can see being angry but damn.

It's quoted over at the *****.

    Thoughts?

Oh trust me, it stung to watch that happen. ****in crotch has one of the lowest level boxing abilities out there among "world class" fighters. He's sloppy, has terrible foot placement, and plenty of other problems a world class fighter shouldn't have. But AA isn't exactly perfect either.

In the end NO ONE enjoys facing a unorthodox/akward fighter like Froch. Ask any fighter, and almost all will agree with that.

But in regards to the statement, I wouldn't expect your own trainer to call you, the fighter, a coward. That's a little strong.

Yeah, Wegner seems like a ****ing douchebag. I was watching the Fight Camp 360 and I remember they showed during the Taylor-Abraham fight, Arthur's brother was shouting at him and Wegner turns around and screams something like "I'M THE TRAINER HERE!!!!!!!!!!!"

If you have ever boxed before you would know that Abraham could not do anything because of styles in that fight and he was just physically out gunned. He fought the best he could. Wegner is a ****.

Wegner is right to be angry, but it's his fault too. He didn't properly prepare Abraham for this fight.

Abraham should just leave Wegner and get a new trainer. A quality trainer like Roach.

Nothing needs to be said about this character. For him to make a statement like that publicly is embarrassing. To him.

    Styles make fights.

Froch showed up with a great game plan and executed it. Abraham was exposed as being one dimensional.

Props to Froch for doing two things I didn't think he was capable of. Boxing methodically and beating Abraham.

Time for AA to drop him and get a real trainer. It's the trainer's fault if the fighter has no game plan, and they didn't have one for Froch.

He's trying to light a fire under an otherwise demoralized Abraham. Criticism like that is the kind of thing Abraham needs and does respond to. Wegner doesn't actually believe Abraham's a coward, he has a very high level of respect for Arthur, but right now Abraham's confidence is gone.
If all he gets are patts on the back, he's got no chance against Ward, he needs to find his heart and become the most feared man in the tournament again.

Arthur Abraham´s coach Wegner is lashing his fighter
    - Several German outlets quoted Wegner as stating "you are a coward" to his fighter.
    - Later on, Wegner told reporters "he has no honor in his body to allow himself to get beat up like that. That was shameful."

Harsh words from your own longtime coach.

Can´t say that AA seemed like a coward in the ring, but maybe what Wegner was referring to is that when you´re clearly behind on points you should "die with your boots on" - go for the KO punch at any costs and throw caution to the wind.
