Sturm (arguably many feel it seems) clearly lost to a man Abraham viciously KO'ed before moving up to 168 and Sturm - along with Pavlik - is considered one of 160's 'Top Dogs'. Therefore as is stands after tonight's performance Abraham now looks better than ever. Now though as to whether he will look even better? Well that will depend on how Pavlik & Sturm pans out. If Pavlik doesn't dominate Sturm any better than Gevor it won't reflect well with his comparisons with Abraham. (Plus it will also make 160 look very very weak.....)
I think Pavlik would destroy the Strum that turned up tonight in the first 6 rounds if they fought. I've said before that Gevor is underrated by a lot of people on here but I didn't see anything from him or Strum that would have worried Pavlik tonight. And Zbik shouldn't even get a license to fight Pavlik it would be that big a mismatch.
I think Sturm is considered a tertiary top dog by default. It's Abe and Pavlik, and then everybody else. Sort of like it was Calzaghe and Kessler, and then a wide gap between #2 and whoever #3 happened to be (as though it mattered). Doesn't really push Abraham's stock up much. Nobody picked Felix to beat either the #1 or #2 guy h2h.
Gevor is a decent boxer and Arthur spanked him all over the ring till he finally knocked him out cold. What more do you want?:rofl
Nope... Gevor was getting some off AA too. He was not far behind if not ahead on the score cards when he was caught. If Sturm had any power, Gevor would probably have faced a similar fate in the 11th in their fight.
Well, lets be fair! A lot of people had Gevor ahead on points up to the moment when AA almost decapitated him in round 11 of their encounter. Gevor gave hell to AA in their fight.
actually, Felix Sturm sucks ass. Gevor getting robbed against Sturm does not make Gevor a good fighter.
I didn't say Abraham was dominating Gevor guys hence why I said Ko'ed. But the mere fact he was ahead of Abraham and - according to many - beat Sturm well....you know...
