Erm No ? The fight went EXACTLY the same as any other Arthur Abraham fight the only difference being that his opponent tonight had the chin to withstand Arthurs power. I've been saying this for ages, as soon as Arthur fought someone who could withstand his power he would be in trouble because he takes time off regulally during fights and relies on it wayyyy too much. Weight had NOTHING to do with the performance tonight.
Badly affected by making weight. But Simon could take what knocked many AA opponents the f*ck out. It was a C- performance by AA. The best thing is probably moving up. Pavlik is not interested, so why kill himself to make 160?
Loosing 8-10KG in 2 weeks for every fight for 10 Years now is not too good. Arthur should move up soon...
That's true, but I would add something: Simon was underrated and much better than expected. AA was sure that he beats him, but in the end Simon was a hard nut to crack.
He should definitely move up at the end of 2009. If Pavlik doesn't want to fight him this year then forget about it.
It is very clear that Arthur's weight has become a serious issue. He walks around at 195-200lbs, he is a very big man despite not being tall. He needs to move up to 168.
****, boy, I could've told you ages ago, that as soon as Abraham faces someone who can withstand his power... he'll win on points. Yes, it was the same Arthur Abraham in the ring. And the only difference here was that he won by clear, wide decision, not by KTFO. And... what?
Finn I totally agree, if you search some of the older posts,I was one of the few that stated pavlik is not fighting aa anytime soon, it is mora, duddy and probably the winner of pwill./winky in the future, so if aas management is smart 168 ASAP, he looked good at the catch weigh against miranda, in my opinion he will look even better at 168:bbb
