Lost to Bradley when Bradley went to 47, but come back with KO 3 over Avendano then, and much more importantly, tko 7 over Dulorme and ud with a kd over Decarie. Both those guys had some "hot prospect" stuff going on, and Abregu beat both. I really hope they give this guy another network fight soon.

Agreed. Lol...... Probably won't be with a prospect though.

Anyway Abregu is not great, but he's decent. He's rugged and pretty big. Doubt he'll be underestimated by matchmakers for a awhile though.

Abregu is signed to Top Rank, so he could possibly take on Alvarado or Marquez in their next fights, maybe Rios if he loses to Pac & stays at 147.

I absolutely agree and I actually thought that he or Mosley(yes Mosley) would have made sense as a Khan opponent, IF Amir was trying to legitimize a potential Mayweather bout... since they both have minor WBC titles.

So where IS this guy? He is coming off a 6 and 0 streak since the Bradley loss with 5 knock outs and even Decarie was down in the 8th. This guy clearly deserves to be in the mix at welterweight. I read he was supposed to be on the Pac Rios undercard but injured his hand, went and got surgery and wasn't healed in time to fight on that card. I really hope he comes back full strength and gets a chance to prove himself, probably against a Top Rank / Dibella or Gary Shaw fighter.

Abregu is probably one of, if not the most underrated fighters at Welterweight.

Top Rank should give him some exposure on the undercard of Pacquiao's next PPV event.

He's unfortunate that he's in a division that's mainly GBP fighters. Jessie Vargas would be a good option I guess.
