Abril stopped punching after he was boxing Rios' ears off through the first half of the fight. Rios was landing cleaner work in the clinch....which was the only clean work of note in the 2nd half.

I felt like I was watching an mma fighter lay on top of another fighter the whole night, not do anything, just lay there. It was a garbage game planned that backfired. Good on the judges to see right through that garbage.

just mad because you bet rios would win and also by tko  i wanted rios to win but come on your just being bitter. All rios did was land a couple of grazing shots to abrils chin and then the rest to his arms and shoulders. While abril would land combos on rios attempting to get inside. You saw the urgency on the last round.

I like molina but its still true, holding cannot be praised ever...

Kirkland moves on, Rios moves on.... dawson trains healthier :yep "you hug I tackle you come at me"- dawson

Blame that on your hugging, you wanted to win, bring the mother****ing fight,

He didn't need the championship rounds...

Give the 11th & 12th to Rios and that's still only three rounds for him.

This time I have no problem with this decision. We need a rule against running and holding slickster.

    The holding was bad, though.

A few more warnings or a deduction would have been called for.

Abril does not have the power to stand and trade with Rios, he kept him behind a jab and held or showed him the shoulder when he got in front of it, it was an excellent performance, the under dog is ment to use the tools he had in his arsenal, for Abril it was height, reach, ring IQ and a tight defence, can't fault the guy for that, he deserved his victory, if you want to see guys get knock outs and attack each other constantly you should be watching bum fights on youtube.

  13. Well said.

Boxing is the sport of FIGHTERS

Men who CHARGE for a win

Not WIMPS who lock on you like LEECHES

    Hugging belongs in Wrestling

    Real MEN BOX

    NOT HOLD

Abril fought like a coward.I am not saying he can't move and run.But to do that round after round and not FIGHT!!

    He doesn't deserve to win.

Totally agree. Again, if everyone fought the same...boxing would suffer IMO.
