I definitely agree that 5% bf and below is impossible for most people to sustain but I've seen guys able to do it who are primarily in lower weight classes and also happen to be really tall by that divisions standards. Just look at guys like young Tommy Hearns, Caballero, Corrales(R.I.P.), prime Breland, young DLH, etc.
The bodyfat percentage will be no lower. If you have 1 sq metre of fabric, to cover a flat 50 sq cm canvas, and have another 1 sq metre of fabric, to cover a 1 sq metre canvas, they will have the same amount of fabric covering it, but it will look drastically different. If you are 5"2 and 10% bodyfat, you will look fatter than a guy 6"2 and 10% bodyfat, both at 140lbs. The tall guy will look more cut but his bodyfat percentage won't necessarily be lower. It's no different to someone is 160lbs at 5"2, and someone is 160lbs at 6"2, the 5"2 guy will look bigger. And bodyfat is based off of your overall weight so you can be the same weight and bodyfat as someone but look different. It's the same as the kilo of feathers vs kilo of iron thinking, they weigh the same but cover a different volume, same with tall vs short guy with same amount of fat, looks can be deceiving. I think I may have said the same thing 4 times here, a record perhaps.
Bodyfat percentage doesn't have anything to do with size, just because someone has a small frame and they're tall and skinny doesn't mean they have low bodyfat. You could have a 300 pound man with broad shoulders who has a lower bodyfat percent than those guys. You can lose weight and have a higher percentage of bodyfat because you've burned off muscle.
You , just like Manassa cannot tell someones body fat from looking at them! And a big part of Abs are in fact genetic as has been pointed out , when this was said before you were "done" with those people, who didnt have any "clue" Because you was a personal trainer , for a few years :tired:tired
And bodybuilders are putting there body through hell because they build and build and build a certain kind of tissue and then tear away all the fat, its like they are going into starvation mode. Those tall thin types are not building up anything, nothing changes, they just amp up the work out to lose a little weight. There's a reason bodybuilders feel that terrible, what they are doing is counterintuitive to their body's systems. I'm just saying I would get down to 4% or 5% to fight at 116 in college, the low weight classes, but it was a caliper test, not the most accurate one. And I looked terrible like that last picture. And I bled a lot, and I got hurt a lot more than fighting at 125 at a weight more natural to my body. I would lose muscle and fat to make those low weights, but bodybuilders are different, they walk around fat and food rich most of the year, I was hardly eating. I'm not saying its healthy but there are guys who get down to that weight for a weigh in, and then CAN'T rehydrate. I was one of those guys.
I was hydro tested by my doctor today and he gave me the results today. It is 3.5%. So I was only a little bit off, however, I've eaten a lot today so it's probably 1-2% normally just like I said.
Post a pic, go on you know you want to Aramini calipers aren't the most accurate method. At the end of the day it's nearly impossible to know an exact percentage, and useless even if you do, unless you track progress with the same method each time, consistently.
Erm, yes I do. One percent fat. Per century. Means I have one part fat in a hundred parts. It's mostly around my hips but you can't feel it.
That first 1-5% is around your internal organs and brain, all these things are made up from fat, which is why a minimal bodyfat is essential.
Fair enough, actually thinking about, I must be 6%. 5% for the organs and ****, 1% for my hips, which like I said, you can't really see or feel.
