Well I hardly think they are effective if your back is against the cage. But agree to disagree I guess
It looks as though most people agree that Kampmann won the the 1st round, and Sanchez won the 2nd. That would leave the 3rd round as the deciding round. What did Kampmann do to win that round? The couple of clean head shots and body shot landed by Diego was just as effective as the couple of punches and grazing knee landed by Kampmann. You can't give Kampmann automatic points for a knee you think he should have been able to throw. I think the rule that allows fighters to defend against knees by keeping your hands on the ground is dumb, but it's no guarantee Kampmann would have landed the knee. I give Kampmann some positional credit, but no more than I give Diego for taking Kampmann to the ground for a couple of seconds. The round was even 4 minutes in, and Diego fought like he wanted the round at the end.
Absolute robbery, really? Let's have a look back at Rua vs Machida I: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=blAYo-XFGRw&feature=related[/ame]
Well this guy pulls a victory from the jaws of defeat. He didnt leave it to the High Court Judges to decided, he took his victory like a true Samurai [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C5r46On6FrA&feature=fvst[/ame]
How did I know this was going to happen, Stoo? Oh well... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pHozFeAe5FY[/ame]
well its relevant to the thread topic This guy cant claim robbery when he cant mount an effective offence [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmv0x4toPDY&feature=related[/ame]
Wrong. I thought the third could've been scored for Diego but the second was Kampmann's round. Any Sanchez fan that's happy with that sloppy effort, from a very out of shape looking Diego, should reconsider their scoring. Please explain how the second was a Deigo round?
I am not a Sanchez fan, physiques don't win fights, and if anyone was exerting effort that night it was Diego. Diego rocked Kampmann twice in the 2nd round. Those were the significant happenings of the 2nd round, and that is where Diego took it.
I mentioned this before. MMA standard = Diego Boxing Standard = Kampman clearly. Not to say that there arent robberies in boxing but at least theyre getting paid. MMA judges just doesnt have any clue.
Diego rocked Kampmann once & it wasn't even that big of a deal. He recovered quickly & Diego couldn't capitalize. :-((
The poll numbers so far speak the truth: 70-30% in favor of Kampmann. BTW Plankton, I'm not Danish, Dutch or even European but I am a Christian. Diego still lost that fight......................
