Does any of you drink acai juice, make smoothies with it or use it as a dietary supplement? I've recently become curious about this fruit and found a lot of interesting information. The problem with this berry is that people try to take advantages of others by exagerating how good it actually is and promote it as a miracle fruit/food. They also manufacture a lot of them in a way that it loses most of it's nutritional value. The acai fruit is not a cancer healing, senzu bean type magical food. It is however one of the healthiest food to consume if taken properly. If you are able to find organic acai products that have no added ingredients and have been dried freeze than you're probably looking at one of the most powerful health supplements you can have. The acai berry is the fruit with the most Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. It has an incredible amount of antioxidants and also a lot of good vitamins and minerals. Right now I'm mostly doing research on it and looking for the best acai product for the best prize to implement to my diet. I was wondering if any of you had tried it or looked up information about it.

The berry itself is very good, but unless you can buy them blast frozen I wouldn't bother. Its juice has been pasteurised and whether it will be healthier than grape juice (which is actually a large part of it most of the times), remains to be seen. If you like the taste by all means, but as far as nutrition is concerned I'd stick with whole natural foods instead of their processed juices. Whole blackberry KO1 acai juice, any day of the week.
Just wanted to say, food (good whole foods) is like Voltron characters in a sense. They are all have their own strengths, but when you bring them all together they kick serious ass.:yep
