Anyway you look at it, Dominick Guinn being on the card would not be a bad idea is you can match him with the right British fighter. He has won 5 straight, and beat the main event guy in Harrison....so it's a good preliminary fight at if you get the right guy in there with him.

He's the black chap that got beaten to a pulp by white cops, sparking off major riots.

I'm a silly American...I just assumed that news of all the riots and **** that happened after Rodney got his ass beat by cops for nothing more then being black got across the pond....I guess that don't happen much in your neck of the woods.

Valuev and Ruiz are horrible fighters. Its only since Haye beat them, they've started getting more credit in Britain. There was a point in time where Ruiz was renowned as the most boring, hated heavyweight in the division. (tho I've always liked him:?)

The reason the Valuev fight wasn't made is because he was Don Kings money making freakshow

The fact that Ruiz is boring doesn't mean it wouldn't have been a tough fight.

The Valuev thing is your opinion and you may well be right but who knows?

One could also argue about the length of time it took for Waldo to re-match peter.

Yeah we just eat strawberrys and cream over here whilst sipping pimms.

I remember being told about the riots but not the name. I was only 7 or 8 at the time.

We have ancient history to study over here:good

I honestly dont see what Ruiz has offensively that could help him beat either Brother?? Even trouble them in the slightest. He was still a good win for Haye given the manner of the victory.

As for the Peter rematch...maybe it could've been done sooner but he did capture another heavyweight belt in his next fight.

That's not quite true though. What they did was vile, but it's not like King was some naive innocent...

It wasn't just because he was black, though the initial lack of a response from the LAPD was undoubtedly because of that.
