Patrick Mailata is a 6’2”, 23 year old heavyweight who took bronze at the 2018 commonwealth games. He’s short but extremely robust, and has power and speed spades. Judging from his amateur fights he has long way to go before he can be called a well schooled boxer, but I think his raw potential’s undeniable. Definitely worth checking out if you haven’t seen him before.

Come one, come all from all over the planet to engage in high stakes combat for a prize and the title as WORLD CHAMPION. Not American champion, not British champion, not Russian champion, but WORLD CHAMPION.

I really ho pope to see a new batch of heavyweights pop up and bring that division back to glory. Good luck to Mailata.

I think he should've stayed in the amateurs for a bit longer and try to win gold at the Commonwealth games or at least push to compete at the Olympics.

I seen him fight and theres so much to critique. Hope he goes well.
