Hell! He seems like on June... this time the source from which the thread has started was not faithful..
We all know he's not gonna weigh 220. If he comes in under 250 I will be surprised; and not surprised at all if he's pretty much the same weight as for the first fight.
I don't think a smaller Ruiz is a negative. AJ wasn't trying to impose his weight on him. AJ was trying to keep Ruiz at distance with his height and length. Ruiz knows how to get on the inside when slipping punches. AJ had no answer for the that and kept getting countered in the exchanges.
This kind of chat makes me laugh. Read quality medical journals and material by Dr. Neal Bernard. I've just currently started a leaning out phase at 270lbs and I will make my way down to 235lbs by eating an incredible number of carbohydrates and lowering fat content. I have completely cut out all animal products. As Dr. McDougall says "the fat you eat is the fat you wear", which is a fact.
Seckbach uploaded this yesterday (but that doesn't mean it was necessarily shot yesterday) .. This content is protected
Unless he's gun-shy like MAB or Forrest in the Pac/Mayorga rematch, can't see AJ losing, he gonna bust Ruiz up & stop him late or play safe for the UD. An awkward shot DID change the first fight when AJ got over-excited, good champs learn from mistakes and Ruiz' at a skill deficit no matter what he does in camp.
This guy loves junk food and admits to eating like a pig. Small changes to his diet would drop weight quickly. If he was strict and dedicated he could have dropped the weight in a month and had plenty of time to acclimatize to it. Ffs he could have lost 10kg in the 1st week he was morbidly obese. Not like he was just a bit chubby lol. He's fast and strong as an obese mam, but he could be much better as a well conditioned man with the correct diet. He just needs to do it properly, with a bit of education.
If Ruiz is confident in the rematch, there is no need for him to be second guessing what Joshua's going to do/weigh. He would prepare for every scenario of course but the weight wasn't an issue in the first fight so there's no reason to believe it would be in the second fight. I think both fighters will weigh in within 10 pounds of what they weighed in the first time - I don't believe Ruiz has lost 44 pounds (not from where he was in the first fight anyway, it's possible he could have put a fair bit on with all the partying before he entered camp).
