I still disagree with those 3 quite easily, though they are at least close in a P4P sense. The rest? :-(

Roy Jones was fast for Middleweight only..humm let me see. Nah, nope. I think he was faster then most anybody in boxing all around. He was unrealistically fast on his feet and hands. NOBODY compares.

How can this guy say Louis had slow hands? Footspeed was better than people give him credit for but he wasn't too fast there, its his handspeed that was fast and thats what the debate was about. Funny he leaves that out.

He didn't have slow hands. He had good handspeed, it was his footspeed and reflexes that were slow. He had good handspeed, great accuracy, and great power. Jones had phenomenal handspeed, footspeed, and reflexes, for any weight. Louis had good handspeed for a HW. I think you're the only person who's ever lived that believes Louis was faster than Jones, in any sense. I could post this in the Classic Forum and it wouldn't get a much better response in your favor.

That was the point, handspeed was being discussed, but I believe with his combinations he was excellent. Jones is very fast but has overrated handspeed if you think he would be faster than them at the same weight. And is this with or without steroids?

No, you seem to overdo the concept of P4P. If Jones gained 40 pounds he'd obviously not be as fast as usual because he wouldn't be natural at the weight like Louis. But in a sense of their speed for their weight, Jones was still much faster. As I said, Jones had phenomenal speed for any weight, he would've been an extremely fast Bantamweight. Louis had good speed for a HW. Not even on the level of Jones.

Just good handspeed for a heavyweight?

And then, he would pull the trigger, with the two fastest hands in the history of the heavyweight division...

That was from Bert Sugar, am I wrong?

Sugar is notorious for his intense bias of old-timers. Ali, Patterson, and Tyson easily had faster hands than Louis. Easily. Seriously, I'm gonna post footage of him right now, and you're gonna honestly tell me he's faster than Jones? Compare.

Pretty good speed. It's his accuracy and overall punching ability that do it.

    Phenomenal.

There is no argument here. None of these guys are faster, though Ali pushes him p4p.

I wonder about mythical guys like Greb and Burley though, reactions wise.

Oh I agree with this at times, but it doesn't mean hes necessarily wrong. Many well informed people rank Louis as having one of the fastest handspeeds. His delivery was incredible.

Possibly faster, but easily? No way. I could find numerous other articles stating how fast Louis was in relation to others.
