According to a certain poster, all of these fighters are faster than Roy.

Its good to see someone who knows what they're talking about. I'm not sure why its such a hard concept. And I don't know why people think Louis has slow hands, but to each their own if they don't want to do the research.

I disagree. Taylor had arguably faster flurries, but his overall movement and reflexes were not so. Also, Jones was faster with single punches. And that's not even in a P4P sense, that's in an actual sense.

People act like P4P has so much to do with it, when it really doesn't. Mijares is somewhat fast for a 115 pounder. Jones is a 168 pounder and is WAY faster not only P4P, but in actuality, than Mijares. The fact that someone is smaller doesn't automatically make them faster. It helps with the lack of weight, but not like you guys seem to think if you think Louis and Ali are even comparable P4P in speed.

    Worst.............logic...............ever.

There are very few with faster hands than Louis at HW. IMO Ali and Tyson are the only ones. Patterson is close.

Weight has everything to do with it, you're making yourself look like a childish fan boy if you suggest otherwise. As a general rule - The heavier you are, the slower you are, particularly at the higher weights. What proves this theory? People moving up in weights. Look at the difference in speed at - for example - Morales at 122, and then Morales at 130. More weight = less speed. Therefore, it's unfair to judge speed side-by-side between a super middleweight and a heavyweight. That's why the term P4P was invented. If you blew up Roy Jones to around 215 pounds, would he be as fast as Ali? I personally don't think he would be.

Patterson had hands clocked faster at HW than any of them. You fail.

Louis's hands were not that fast, at all! They were somewhat fast, with good accuracy, nothing amazing about them at all.

Watch Jones. Watch Louis. It's comparable to watching a tortoise and a hare in a race, almost literally. There is no comparison. This is THE stupidest, most pointless argument I think I've ever been in.

    I'm right. You're wrong.

Patterson also weighed significantly less than the others. :tired

You continue to show your idiocy, I'd suprised if you were any older than 16, because you can't look at anything objectively. All you see is, "look at the film, weight means nothing".

I really don't like arguing with total imbeciles, but sometimes I give in to temptation. My apologies.

P.S. Patterson was not "clocked" faster than the others. It was found that Ali's jab was actually faster than Robinson's, and Walcott's slightly faster than Ali's.

I am resorting to this behavior because I didn't know man could be as unbelievably stupid as yourself. There is no helping someone of your mental status. There is nothing I can say to change your feeble mind, therefore I have stopped trying. You're a fool. Bottom line.

You still can't grasp the concept, I'm actually getting a real laugh out of this. Oh my, you're a typical general forum fool. You fail at life.

You think Joe Louis is faster than Roy Jones, P4P or otherwise. I'm surprised you've made it this far in life.

Actually, I never said Louis was faster, P4P or otherwise. I was merely pointing out how it could be argued he was faster, by looking at weight as a factor (which you still can't grasp). I only said I thought Tyson and Ali were faster.

BTW, I've done a lot with my 21 years so far, so don't bother with that argument. :think
