Just further proof of how scared Pollo & Fishnets are of Gennady Golovkin. No wonder Pollo called him SIR!! when he meekly handed over the WBC belt ROFLMAO. Would be hilarious if JC jr sparked Pollo

If this fight gets signed then Bumlovkin can kiss his $15 mil payday GOODBYE. Chavez jr in May for Cinco de Mayo and Sanders in September. That leaves Bumlovkin the jilted bride until May 2018 at the earliest. K2 should've accepted the $15 Mil deal and cashed out on Bumlovkin. As it not stands, *IF* he gets by Jacobs, he'll probably take an L against some TOMATO CAN before the Canelo fight can get made.

    Not even close.

Both Chavez and Canelo are PROVEN PPV draws.

Bumlovkin, OTOH, sold 97K PPV in his last appearance on American PPV TV.

    Do the math...

;) There'some truth in this post.

:uptosomething: It's not ALL favoring Canelo given the complete picture though.

    1. Canelo SURRENDERED HIS BELT... after O$car & Canelo ran their MOUTHS, and Canelo will live with that for the rest of his life.

    2. Until Canelo fights GGG he will ALWAYS be considered to have run, and classed as a lesser BOXER than GGG !

    3. Canelo's reputation & popularity is dwindling... a couple of more MIS CUES by GBP and it won't be salvageable.

Both GGG & Canelo will lose a lot of money if this fight doesn't happen. O$car/GBP have HIGH OVERHEAD and an expensive drug habit to support. Canelo is O$car's GOLDEN GOOSE but how long will Canelo stay popular?

Knowledgeable experts look at GGG's undefeated pro record and GGG's number of KO's and rate GGG highly.
Most think GGG beats Canelo easily if they fight in the next year or so.

Since the Cotto match Canelo's reputation has been sliding and is on a downhill spiral.

Business always have risks, the best businessmen are those who weigh the risks and make the right decision.
Given O$car's history, he's not been making good decisions.

See what happens when you try to play make believe instead of accepting your role as a B side fighter. CANELO DOES NOT NEED GGG. GGG needs Canelo. Saul's going to fight BJS in September while GGG will fight another can or two this year after Jacobs. GGG should just move up. This has always been his solution instead of trying to call out Floyd, Manny and whatever other payday instead of carving his own path of creating his own.

The Ring (lineal) (GBP belt) (Oscars little red headed cherubs belt) Is totally WORTHLESS !!!!!!!!!!!
The Ring itself USED to be The Bible of Boxing. Now its just a rag publicizing G.B.P. Nat Fleischer must roll in his grave

As you said it yourself, everybody is favouring ggg to kick his ass. It is more of a reason than for ggg to secure the fight.
Oscar and Canelo knows this so they try to extract as much money for themselves, can you blame them? Or try to postpone as long as they can waithng for ggg to slip, while keep the public interest high, hence the constant change in offer. In the meantime they line up Chavez jr and bjs.

I disagree... I think GGG has more pull than Chavez Jr. went to two fights at Stub Hub center and saw GGG KO his opponent an they had to add seats. Chavez jr got KOd by Fanfarra... it will be a big mega fight but not as big ass GGG v Canelo

:risas3: IMO... The Chavez Jr. fight is a "Strawman" trying to divert attention from GBP's LOW-BALL contracts offers fiasco.

:eyebrow2:There are questions regarding the BJS/Canelo WBO MANDATORY contender decision. This could get UGLY before it's done.

:naughty2: O$car's goal has been to avoid a Canelo/GGG bout hence the actions by GBP since the Cotto fight.

The risk is that at some point in the future... Canelo becomes irrelevant before GGG retires.

Interesting how Cucknelo draining another cherry pick in Chavez Jr turns into a Golovkin bashing vehicle.

I think people are to hung up on the figure on offer that they fail to see the bigger picture. For his legacy and money, ggg needs Canelo more than the other way around. Canelo is young, he can simply wait till ggg gets old or beaten by somebody else. Nobody wants to fight ggg including his mandatory. Everybody from 160 and 154 is lining up to fight Canelo, all he has to do is make the call.

Those are all good points, but there is an offer, so you can not say Oscar and Canelo don't want the fight.
Put it this way, this could be a Canelo cash out fight if he lost terribly, can you blame him to want to stack all the cards on his favour?
