Dwyer is the best analyst on youtube, as far as I am concerned, and he is not afraid of picking the underdog either, but before betting our houses on Jones, let us remind ourselves what Dwyer's argument is:

To beat Jones you have to hurt him. Calzaghe doesn't have the power to hurt Jones. Jones will be better than ever since he has come back down from heavyweight. Jones was a better fighter than Calzaghe prime for prime, so if Jones reclaims some of his old form, he will be better than Calzaghe, who cannot hurt him anyway.

What Dwyer doesn't seem to consider is Calzaghe's speed advantage at this stage and his much higher workrate. Also, bear in mind that Dwyer thought Hopkins beat Calzaghe clearly. Given the way Dwyer scores fights, with an overemphasis on clear effective punching, he might still have Jones winning even if the rest of us have Calzaghe winning.

Still, to me this will be a very close fight. I am picking Calzaghe to win a very close fight win, but only if he performs as well as he does at his best. I am expecting to see a very good version of Jones on the night too. Very much looking forward to this fight. I expect it will be very good.

jones' reflexes just arent what they were, his age isnt gonna catch up with him, more that at 39 he just wont quite have the speed of prime roy..Calzaghe will pull this out due to roys lessening speed and reflexes,,,ok Im outta here till post fight now

Dwyer considered Jones prime in this matchup. He must not have seen Jones previous 6 fights.

I like Dwyer, this was the first time ive gone against him in a while. Think he must have let his heart rule his head on this one.
