he is already doing that in the summer, I just thought it would be a good stay busy fight, if he chooses to fight judah or peterson instead I dont mind either. Allthough I would rather have peterson rematch ortiz.

Peterson isn't a bad challenger but why fight someone that is coming off a disputed draw and a shut out loss to Bradley?

For some reason a lot of people do not want to see Khan avenge this loss. I for one would rather see him beat Prescott and shut that chapter instead of fighting ****ing Peterson.

Solid opponent whilst waiting for Alexander-Bradley winner.

Prescott is irrelevant now, he has been irrelevant since just after the Khan bout...take a look at his opposition since then.

    2010-08-06 141 - Harrison Cuello 142 19-12-3

    2010-05-15 140½ - Jason Davis 144½ 11-6-1

    2009-12-05 135 Kevin Mitchell 134 29-0-0

    2009-07-17 137 Miguel Vazquez 136 24-3-0

    2009-02-20 135¾ Humberto Toledo 136½ 33-5-2

I can't remember much from the Toledo bout, but he was winning, not impressively though.
Then he looked very ordinary against Vasquez, who apart from a first round knockdown from a jab(?)...took Prescott's best shots with ease. (This bout showed how limited he was).
Then he gets outboxed with ease by Mitchell...this bout put an '!' on how limited he actually is.

I havn't seen his last 2 bouts, but their records aren't exactly impressive, and I know just looking at a boxer's record can be deceptive...but they don't look like world beaters anyway.

Katsidis went onto stop Mitchell with ease...even that would be a better bout than the Prescott bout. Khan has moved on from that naive loss, Prescott was still living off of the hype of knocking out Khan, which has led to him being very overrated in terms of power.

Khan has just UD'd a better version of Prescott...Peterson is a good bout at this point in time.

Whilst not being too tough, he can pose other problems and allow Khan to work on other things. A good way to prepare for the likes of Bradley and Alexander, don't you think? :think

Prescott should fight McCloskey. Another talented (british?) fighter.

quote=cesare-borgia;8470502]Avenging a loss is never stupid, but khan is almost at the point where a matchup like prescott doesnt make sense anymore, now he can still make money, stay busy and avenge a loss. Imagine lewis not avenging the ko losses to rahman and mccall, its more important to khan mentally as well.[/quote]

A shut out loss to Bradley, and a gift draw with Ortiz

How exactly does Peterson deserve a title shot with Khan? It doesnt, and it would demonstrate the weak state of boxing today

I would rather wait for Khan vs Bradley/Alexander

As I said in a previous thread, this is a very stern test.

    It's a decent fight I think.

Plus Peterson is top 10 guy in the division so it makes sense.

Khan would gain nothing from beating the **** out of Prescott, he's already proved everything he needed to with Maidana.
