Disappointing news if this fight comes to fruition.

The situation is somewhat comparable to Pac fighting Mosley considering that Peterson is coming off of a draw and a recent loss.

Khan needs to fight the Bradley-Alexander winner; although a fight against Judah would be tolerable.

:patsch The winner won't come straight away. Bradley/Alexander winner won't happen in the UK.

Khan HAS to keep in touch with his UK fans, so he'll be fighting in the UK in April and then unify in the Summer with the winner.

Peterson/Judah, and then the winner of Bradley/Alexander, and then a rematch with Maidana.

Is my guesstimate of who he fights next year.

It's a stay busy UK fight before fighting Bradley later next year.

Wouldn't mind seeing Peterson score the upset victory though. :good

It is what it is, a stay busy fight, something a little easier before the unification clash.

I don't see the urgentcy to fight in the UK right away. If the plan is indeed to fight there once a year, he could always deffer and fight there at year's end.

Khan made his bed and now he must sleep in it. After the Malignaggi fight, he mapped out to the world that he wanted to face Maidana and Bradley could face Alexander with the 2 winner squaring off. Considering that Bradley-Alexander is a mere 1 month away, there's no reason why he can't await the winner and fulfill his own blueprint, imv.

I dunno man, I just like the fact that he's staying busy.

Plus it's going to be interesting to see how much he's improved his weaknesses since the Maidana fight/leading into the title unification.

Also I think he's going to be a lot more relaxed in there if he does fight Peterson, and Khan is at his best when he's not being pressured constantly.

Decent fight for keeping busy in the U.K. and then building for a super unification fight in the summer back in the U.S.

The fight in April seems to be about money and GBP they want to earn some. A fight in the UK will fill a big stadium and also sell on skybox Office. That's why he is "keeping busy" he knows he will make some good money now.

He deserves an easer fight then go after prescott or one of the other top 5.

    Well... obviously?

It's also decent record padding fighting a good top 10 rated guy in his division.

This is a good fight; top 10 ranker after the toughest fight of his career. Certainly better than giving a loser like Judah another title shot or taking on an irrelevant fighter like Prescott? Why are people so concerned over a Prescott rematch. The guy has gone downhill since the upset and Khan has only improved. There's no point to it, Khan would easily defeat him. Why waste time instead of gaining experience against a better opponent like Lamont?
