Well in this vid Holyfield clearly says Bowe ducked Lewis,i believe that gives lewis the nod here as the better fighter.

Speaking of old videos, Holyfield basically said Bowe and Tyson ducked Lewis but that he himself wouldn't. Propaganda to make Evander himself look like he's stepping to the plate.

At the 1:56 mark the announcer asks Lennox what Bowe meant by Lennox lying to him. Where Lewis responds, "I have no idea what Bowe is talking about." I don't know, I think Lennox lied here. Probably having something to do with contract options and disputes. A lot happened behind closed doors that the public wasn't aware of at the time.

Funny he says this, he said James Toney was the most complete fighter he ever faced after Toney demolished him.

Personally I think Bowe was **** scared of Lewis and he and Newman showed it by avoiding him at all costs. I think Bowe would have put up a good fight but Lewis had him **** feared mentally.

I think Lewis was robbed in the first Holyfield fight and Holyfield was in the 2nd, I think Holyfield won the 2nd fight

bunch of contraditions and attempted distractions ,anyone can clearly see Bowe avoids a Lewis fight either way its on VIDEO,and Holyfield even says that, where is he beefing himself up?Hes saying he was the lower food chain in their eyes,....nonsense! :-(

I think Lewis won them both. Close fights no doubt.

I think Holyfield and Tyson probably rate Lewis a lot higher than Lewis rates them.

The only fighter Lewis ever seemed to really rate was Lewis.

Has he ever been asked how he ranks himself and/or his top ten?

I know Ali placed himself first and Jack Johnson second and said he didn't think much of Tyson.

:huh No, he's saying out of the 3 of them HE was the one who stepped up to face Lennox. Bowe and Tyson ducked Lewis, but HE didn't. And both Bowe and Tyson looked at him as a lesser challenge than Lennox. That's what he's saying. Clear as day, really.

He said Bowe hit him harder... makes sense.

I like Lewis but by the time he fought Holyfield, Holyfield was well past prime.

Holyfield was starting to fade as early as '92 but he really got in great shape, rose to the occasion, and had a great fight plan and trainer/corner man (Manny Steward) for the fight vs. Bowe in '93. Don't be fooled by the KO win over Tyson. Holyfield and Tyson were past their best (but still good) but Holyfield once again was well prepared, in great shape, and stuck to a great fight plan and pulled off the KO win he always wanted.

Holyfield in late '93 (2nd Bowe fight) vs. a prime Lewis? I'll take Holyfield.

That doesn't make sense..how did Holy step up to face Lennox? Lennox walked out on Tyson fight in 96 when he walked away after Tyson defeated Seldon and changed his mind. Bowe wasnt even around anymore when Tyson came back, the fallout of him and Lewis was 92/93. Bowe and Tyson looking at Holyfield as the lesser challenger is the point, they viewed him as the lower tier fighter,so that would make holyfield the lower food chain in their eyes.

Lennox was considered the real champion of the 90's,not holyfield.Holyfield had years to fight Lewis from 91 to 99..Tyson was not around that long by the time he got back in his comfort zone it was 97.I believe lewis was the most avoided one of the 90's,evwen though he should have fought guys sooner,i don't think Holyfield really wanted him, just look at his resume, guys like Chyz and ruiz?

Foreman hit him with the hardest punches, Bowe dished out the most punishment... Tyson and obviously Lewis punch very hard as well but were unable to seriously hurt him.

I wouldn't want any of them to hit me.
