According to Postol, Crawford didn't want to fight him

    Supposedly, Postol was giving the option to fight Matthysse or Crawford. Postol wanted to fight Crawford and according to Postol, Crawford changed his mind, so he fought Matthysse instead.

    This puts a cold bucket of water on that fight if that's true. Imam could be next then.

    Either fight will give him a nice challenge.

    Maybe Crawford is getting a Pac fight next year.

    Postol isn't the kind of fighter you fight unless you have to. For an up and comer like Imam who needs the title, it makes sense to take the chance.

    Otherwise, you've got a high risk fighter who had practically zero name value. The Matthysse fight will help the name value, but the risk has gone up as well. If I'm Crawford's management, I try to wait on Postol to pick up another win or two to bring more cash to the till so the payday matches the risk better.
