According to the normal distribution of height (mean = 5'8"), why didn´t the 6'2" HWs dominate 50s?

White American ethnic? That isn't a thing. A white dude from Germany is still a white dude like a guy from America. Their ancestors descend from the mountains of Caucasus.

Ethnicity="Regular" American (i.e. a person who eats hamburgers instead of schnitzel, and don't tell me a burger is German)

    Race=White

It was a very clearly made point.

"a white dude from Germany is still a white dude like a guy from America"

To a racist there is no difference I suppose.

But was a German-American like Eisenhower merely the same as a German like Rommel? The two men didn't even speak the same language.

I think asking the question answers it. The issue is the color-line in boxing which was drawn by Americans and not by Europeans, and not racial identity.

None of this has to do with the Europeans not being white heavyweights like American white heavyweights. A foolish attempt for racists in this sub to pretend that one race is superior to another.

You're literally trying to make an argument that black fighters are racially superior to white fighters purely because of their race yet I'm the racist one. Wow. Unfortunately I've heard these arguments before.

Are you trying to tell me Erwin Rommel is not a white guy? German is not a race unless perhaps you subscribe to Adolf Hitler's ideology. They're both Caucasians.

Next time you want to call me an idiot at least spell basic words properly. You only had 16 of them to get right.

People who are minimally literate tend to pick up spelling errors because (1) they read so slowly that they see the errors and (2) their literacy level is so basic that they think the other person actually has trouble spelling.

It’s really simple, the best men get to the top whilst those who aren’t the best do not.

Do you actually think this or do you just have nothing better to do other than to come onto a boxing forum and NOT talk about boxing? You're the one that looks like a hyper aggressive douchbag that can't spell when put under pressure.

"You're literally trying to make an argument that black fighters are racially superior to white fighters"

No. I was referring to historical facts. There was a color line drawn by white American fighters against black fighters, some of whom (Peter Jackson for example) were not American. My point is that when white American fighters refused to fight the best black fighters they lost any legitimate claim to universal championship status.

You draw the conclusion that this somehow means that as a race black fighters were superior fighters because of their race. That does not follow. They simply produced a disproportionate percentage of the best heavyweights during the 20th century, in the same way they currently produce a disproportionate percentage of the best running backs in the NFL. Hunger, motivation, the need to escape poverty, the lack of other options, etc., are among many factors explaining or contributing to this.

"Are you trying to tell me Edwin Rommel is not a white guy?"

No. I was telling you he was not American while the German-American Eisenhower was American. Yes, both were Caucasians. Both were ethnically German. But they were very different men because they grew up in very different circumstances. One is a Kansan and one is a German. My point is that environment trumps ethnicity.

The first part of what you said I obviously agreed with. The most important definition of "bigger" is bone structure & muscle.
But we differ in whether Pacman has 8" wrists. I see nothing about his bone structure, or looking at his wrists, that would indicate than he has the wrists of a man with a big frame.
Tyson & many HWs are listed as 8" wrists. Someone once said here that looking at the measuring tape when put on Tyson, it was really 7.5/7.75".
Whether he was rounded up or not, it would be very unusual for someone of Pac's overall size to have wrists like a modern HW.

There are a very small % of folks whose joints are bigger than there bones overall.
I do not see that he is in this camp.

I think it really has to do with who was at the top for that image than race. You can make a argument that Dempsey was the best of his era, but Harry Wills leaves a black mark there. Black and White contenders in all weights have been winning and losing vs each other for over 100 years. When Louis rule, was there any white fighter better than him at his prime? Or during Marciano's rein? Was there any black fighter AT that time better than Marciano? Or during the Ali, Fraizer and Foreman era, were there any white fighters better than the 3 mention? Or with the Kilt brothers ruled in the 2000's after Lewis's retirement, There was not really a black fighter around that could complete with them at there peak.
